I've been pulling my hair trying to figure out why the white insde of my mau-eared hexed kitty don't show through properly. Depending on how the cat moves its head, I can see more or less white, but never the complete inside of the ear as it should be. And the lines around the white inside don't show either, I'm noticing now... Here are two pictures that illustrate the problem: I looked in [Add Balls], [Lines],

to me it looks like the problem lies within lines but in my persian file i just hexed to see if i got the same problem which i dident. the info i changes was this Add Balls, below ; ### From here down are animator's addballz 77. lines move: Ear Extention Ball info if your info lines up with this then it should work, erm it looks like its to do with the add balls and its linking the centre ball to the top ball so make sure that it the same as what mine says. if its not in the lines it could be that the back of the ear has not move back enough and it showing through the white. Im better when im doing it and can see inside the file myself coz then i can see whats up lol. i will play about with my file some more to see if i can see what you are doing to the ears that i am not I have hexed all the way to the point you are at: So like it has to be somthing in the date above, or you have added in some more lines and add balls for somthing else you are putting in the file, that all i can think of right now.

ARGH!! It didn't work!! I checked every line of what you posted and only found a couple things I had copied from my cat Mahogany, which was slightly different from the Mau, and changed it to match your info, but still the inside of the ears wouldn't show up properly! So I undid even more things I had taken from Mahogany (like the Head Enlargement, which was slightly different from the Persian breed, and which I thought might affect the ears), but it didn't work either So, after wasting 2 days on this, I think I'm just going to start over... I'll take the original Persian breed and stick the Mau ears in it, without making any other change at first. Then I'll start entering Mahogany's data, and check between every change to see if something affects the inside of the ears again -- and when I find what it is, I'll just undo it. Thanks for all the detailed info, Star! At least it helped me make sure I wasn't doing anything drastically wrong in those areas (and now I know for sure how to add my beloved Mau ears to any breed! ;D) I'll post here again when I find out what affected the ears in my original attempt, in case it may be useful to someone else EDIT: Okay, so I've done what I said -- taken the original Persian breed file and stuck the Mau ears in it without changing anything else, and it worked. I got kitties that looked exactly like yours, with perfect Mau ears! Now I'm going to start making the other changes and see what messed up my original file!

I'm not a very good hexer, actually... But yes, I did fix it... by starting all over again! ;D Apparently, some of the data I had changed either in Linez or Moves had messed up the ears (I think it was something in Linez, but I was never able to find out exactly what.)
