I hexed a breed to have many colors available; red, orange, black, etc... The issue is that, when I breed two 1st gen red dogz together, I get white dogz...When I breed black dogz together, I get white dogz... When I breed..... well you get the idea... and the white dogz I am getting aren't in any of the variations I hexed!!!! (meaning, I don't have the all-white variation in the breedfile)..... I will get too complicated if I get too specific... the addballz are another problem... the colors arent right... again, it is complicated but I am hoping someone could have an idea with the info I provided? *pulls hair out* I have been working with this breed and conquered so many issues, and when i almost thought I finnished, my second gens are messing up! - petz 5 - poodle breed file - using reshacker - I believe part of the issue is around [Add Ball] since I added some extra ballz - The pd.lnz is the exact same as in the raw_pd.lnz folder. I will love you forever if you can figure something out! The game can't seem to follow the locked variations I put in, as most of the pups come out white...

The all-white is, alas, part of a getaround to get some breeds to work in Petz 5 under XP. Apparently it clashes with some of the marking info when second gens breed and the game goes back to look at the 'genetic code' in the file. There's more information about the quirk at VPZ, I think -- I haven't encountered it in any of my own hexing, but it's a fairly common prolem.

*ghasp* a reply!! Yay! Ahh I see. So if I were to breed them in another computer that does not have XP it should work fine? The pups should look like the parents? *is hopeful* Could anyone be so kind as to give me a link to VPZ, please? Thank you so much, Plaid, for your help! ;D What about the issue of some of the addballz being the wrong color? K. Let me explain this part using the red poodle variation: the skin is color #59 and all the fur is color #50. In other words, the skin is much darker than the fur. The white pups that are coming out seem to have #10 fur and #19 skin, with the exception of the addballz in the wrists and ankles. Those are the extra addballz that don't come with the original poodle breed. They come out 19 instead of 10. I will go breed the dogz in the other computer to see if that will solve these two problems. If not, I will still need someone's valuable help :/

It might help to breed them on another computer, but probably not. To get the file t work under XP, you essentially have to take out a bit of the file with the color information (thusly, white babies). VPZ... www.angelfire.com/moon2/petzzoo2/

Thank you so much. I will go play with the file now The site you gave me is full of info. Thanks! However, it has raised another question for me: [Fur Pattern Balls] ; addballs which are part of fur only addballs: 96, 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104 How do I use these? The site didn't really get into detail on this, and am quite curious ^_^

Honestly, I have no idea *lol* but maybe you can find something about it at www.spiffay.net/p4d/ - a good site with a bunch of tutorials. Of course, if you want info for sure, I'm positive that Carolyn covered it in her LNZ breakdowns. (I just, myself, don't know what they do. LOL.)
