One that I can hex breeds and dogs in. I used to have one but it stuffed up my computer. What it did was it replaced my scan for viruses program and that was bad! Can someone send me the URL of one or just send me one taht works for them and is easy. Also, is there a program that you can design the pet in first than copy the code from or just design the dog in it? I'm new to hexing and would like to try. I've done it once before and I'd like to try again. It's be great to hex my own breeds to put on my website instead of others. Thanks!

The best two are ResHack and Carolyn's External Lnz (Which you don't need a program to hex in, just Text Pad and it's not as hard as the name seems)

I've tried ResHack. Where can I get Carolyn's External Lnz? Please don't tell me at Carolyn's Creations. I can never find anything there! I've checked there about a million times for hexing programs but get lost. :-[ It's so big!

In the first case, you probably downloaded Resource Hacker from an unreliable source that snuck some nasty stuff in with perfectly reliable software, or you simply ran afoul of another virus unrelated to Resource Hacker. (Resource Hacker is completely safe, nobody here has had any problems with it. The only way it can seriously mess up your system is if you open it up, use it to open an important Windows dll, and replace important system information with gibberish! ) Seriously though... www.download.com/3000-2352-10178588.htmlis a good reliable source for ResHacker. Also make sure that at all times you have a firewall and good virus checker running on your computer. (By good, I mean you didn't click a popup ad to get it!) In general, never click popup ads to get things (incl. seemingly innocent programs like Weatherbug - they are hives of scum and villany). Also look into a spyware removing program such as AdAware or Spybot: Search and Destroy - or both! - and run them in tandem. And most importantly, go to www.microsoft.com and RUN WINDOWS UPDATES! ^ I'm hoping you know to do all of those things already, but I have to give my little song and dance each time a person says they got a virus from where they shouldn't/couldn't have. ^^; Good luck and happy hexing!

Resource Hacker didn't stuff up. (I just didn't like that one) Hex Workshop did. It's because it didn't have an uninstall but I found out how to do that now so I have it in a folder incase I need it bad. I understand that one... a bit.

ResHack is 1.32 MB. You have plenty of space - 3 GB is a lot!

I've tried ResHack. Where can I get Carolyn's External Lnz? Please don't tell me at Carolyn's Creations. I can never find anything there! I've checked there about a million times for hexing programs but get lost. :-[ It's so big! Sorry about that. I try so hard to get that site of mine into a state where people can find things What you would be looking for at my site would not be hexing programs, it would be "easy-edit packages" which you should be able to get to easily via various pages. First off, they are linked at the top of my Tutorials, Petz-specific page. If that's too complex, try a little further down my menu bar, where I have the link "Petz Easy-edit", which takes you straight to the page top whence you can choose the relevant "easy-edit packages" page. And if that's too tricky, then scroll further down my menu, to where I have stuff grouped together for the game of your choice, and click on one of the two links under "For LNZ-files 'n' easy-edits" depending on whether it's dogz or catz you want to easy-edit. The easy-edit system has the advantage of more flexibility and less likelihood of corrupting the breedfile than the Resource Hacker system. But hey, whatever rocks your boat. Have fun Carolyn
