Hello all, I just thought I should post a little hard-won information I’ve gathered while using the original Muttlie breedfile. (The one made by Naturenut.) This is designed for beginner-ish hexers that want to save a little time.
1) The Ear: Muttlies have a special add ball in their ear, which is labeled ‘eartipss’. You can save a lot of time searching around through various add ballz by just doing a search for that name.
2) Ballz Info: Any ball that has a color of ‘0' does not exist. It took me awhile to figure this out for some reason, probably because I had never hexed anything before Muttlies.
3) When flaring Muttlies, you need to use a lower setting then when flaring Danes (as is what is described in most tutorials) or the Muttlie’s ankle will not flare, it will only change color. I’ve found a good setting to be around 15-25 for the 2nd number, and 25-35 for the 6th number.
A little info on Hexed petz/breedz in general:
To have Muttlies that pass their traits onto their pups you have to have 1) The breedfile and 2) petz that came from that breedfile. (You can’t just get the Original Muttlie breed and expect all your old Muttlies to work from it) Hexed sheepdogs that did not come with a breedfile will not have Muttlie pups. Hexed Muttlies that did not come with an altered Muttlie breedfile won't pass their traits on either.
Muttlie Tattoos:
As Muttlies have no hips, using templates for tattoos is impossible. However, getting tattoos onto Muttlies is possible. To find out how you’ll have to talk to someone else (I believe Xoops is working on it/will be working on it soon.)
I think that’s all I can remember at the moment, but if any one else knows any Muttlie shortcuts/tricks, please add them.
