I was playing with some breed files yesterda the Great Dane and Labrador and using ResHacker. This was my first attempt at hexing and i managed to hex the colours i wanted..yay
First Question -
How come when i breed the dogs that i hexed i only seem to get pups in that colour and not dogs in the other labrador / greatdane colours.... any reason?
Second Question - I really like the AM Cocker Spaniel as a puppy so i tried to make it no grow following a tutorial, basically copying the size from the puppy to the adult - But whenever i put the breed back into the dogz folder it crashes pets - if its open or i cant open it if its not running... any ideas?
Third Question - Is it a lot harder to hex a dog than a breed? The res editor wont do it and the hex editors dont make a great deal of sense to me......If someone asks you to change the colouring / fuzziness etc of a dog/cat do you do a particular cat or do you make it a variation in the breed file and then just adopt one?
Cheers

what hexing program do you use? If it is reshacker i had problems with the file getting corrupted due to the program hence pets wouldnt start and crashed! If you are using this program i would suggest trying out another such as Hexplorer ;D
