Hey all,
There's a new version of LNZ Pro up at Carolyn's for you to _beta test_. It adds a cool new feature: Unibreeds.
Open a breed, then click File->Convert to Unibreed. Follow through the prompts and you should now have a breed file which works on Petz 3, 4 and 5 without having to convert between them! You can still edit the breed the same way you always could (With ResHacker, LNZ Pro, Pet Workshop etc..), and you can now edit the "Pointers" inside the file without hexing: They're stored in a "Unibreed" text resource - Making external LNZ breeds easy. Unibreeds are even a little smaller than the original files!
The link is in my signature.

It just gets better and better!
What do pointers do? and also do you need to have the text file with the breed if you give it out?

The pointers are a part of a breed file which tells Petz which LNZ file to use etc: They are normally not editable except with a hex editor. The text for this is actually stored inside your breed: There's no other files to give out with your breed!
