Well since I can't make 8-bit Bitmaps, I edit ones that come with breeds I download. It works sometimes

The textures need to be 8-bit, not 6-bit

It only lets me make them 24-bit, 256-bit, and 16-bit Bitmaps

Do you have Photoshop? I press new and set it to "Grey Scale" then draw all over it, then I save it as a bmp. and there you have it! Anyone have any other ways?

I just have paint...... and I save it as a 256bit and it mostly works.... just on some pics it turns to white to green

download a trial of paint shop pro (you can get it at http://www.jasc.com) make your image. go to colors > decrease colors -> 256 colors (8 bit) works better on that ms paint = sucky.

I went there and found some paint shop pro stuff but there were lots of types i could download. Which one do we download?
