I feel so bad. I got a waning level and I know why (my avvie) but I really didn't mean too. It slipped my mind... I've never done anything offensive or silly so I'm not a bad member. I was just wondering if anyone else out there with warnings feels bad... CoRaL xx Sorry if this is pointless....

There was a huge fuss about this about five months ago, when they were instigated. The fact is, the new system was brought in for a reason - people weren't reading the rules, and the moderators were getting very frustrated. I remember poor Star had an inbox filled with polite messages telling people to change their signatures to an appropriate size, only to have people break the rules ago a week later, and she'd have to send them another one. The good thing about this is that there's no ambiguity; there are no "bad" or "good" members. It's unfair to have one set of rule for some members, and another set for the others. Rules have to be impartial.

I know how you feel Coral. When I got a warning for my sig I felt really, really bad and like I was a horrible member. But don't worry, the warning will go away and when it does you will have, like me, learned the needed lesson. I am not sure I fully agree with how harsh things are, but RKC is a really big place with lots of members so I understand completely why the rules are needed. Just don't beat yourself up too much, we know your a good member

My warning level just went away. I posted on the wrong topic when I was new and I got a warning, I had it for along time but I learned. It's okay, it will go away. Every once in a while read the rules to refresh your mind, it will hopefully prevent warnings.

I feel horrible for my warning level. And when it first started out I cared so much that I hardly ever posted so people wouldn't see my warning. Now I don't care anymore, because I know it will go down eventually and that moderators are just doing their job by giving me my warning.
And no need to worry Coral, you shouldn't feel horrible - you are a great member. You shouldn't let your warning level bring you down - it's just a big red bar that will go away soon. (That's what I say to myself when I get aggravated at it...)

Yeah you're deffinatly not alone in feeling that. I feel like I'm being punished...and for what? Being a good member..? Anyway I've had my warning now for about a couple months and so I just learnt to deal with the fact that they won't be going away. I was going to leave the forum, I got really upset with the rules against members who are GOOD...

Okay, I'm going to lock this thread, as it's really pointless. Everything about the use of warning level is explained here, and that's all that needs to be said about it. If you have a question, just send a PM to any Global Moderator or myself.
