I can't believe I never bothered to make a thread here! About time I did. Showing off my site, mainly devoted to hexing with a few other bits and pieces. At the moment it's very basic looking but thinking of giving it a reworked layout. It really only started out as a minisite branched off from my main domain but it's kind of got its own life now.
Recently added to the site is my new Woodcrafter hex!

Put up that new layout I was thinking of, it's about the same but a bit nicer and less thrown together. There's a part of me that wants to make something cool and fancy, but I don't want to sacrifice readability on tutorial pages, you know? Anyway I like what I have now.
Added in another page for something that isn't strictly Petz but is Petz adjacent:
It's a basic little webpage creature with an AI loosely based on the Petz AI. I say loosely because the goals are just strings and there can only be one at a time, so it's kind of single minded and predictable. Also, I just spotted earlier today that I got the plan and state functions the wrong way around... but it works on the same sort of "go find a thing that emits the adjective you want" principle of the game. I'm working on an updated version with proper goal functions and the correct order of states and plans but I kind of like this little guy, it was fun to put together.
(edit): states and plans should now be the right way around, I'm not worrying too much about that though since I'm working on a newer version. From what I can understand states here don't have that much to do because there's no animations, but they can at least manage the little thought bubbles.

An update to the Creature Sim, it now has a goal manager function and can handle multiple goals, see what happens when it gets hungry or thirsty while sleeping, for example. Also some debug sliders to make life easier.
I want to add in some interaction next up, probably to let you pet the creature and have it respond with happiness or annoyance depending on what it's trying to do.
(I'm not sure if this really counts as petz stuff? But it is my way of learning how the AI works. If it doesn't I'll move it to the other board.)

That's so cool!!!! I love seeing the progress you're making! Honestly, learning is a great reason to do something :)
