We've all made impulse purchases in our lives. And sometimes those purchases are 3 boxes of live animals. Or pixel animals from PUGS' Emerald Shop, at least. I had 150+ emeralds vibing in my inventory, so I decided to buy three of the surprise boxes from the shop. One of dogz, one of catz, and one mixed. So ~30 of each category.
As I get to know them, I thought it might be fun to do a little "review" of each pet and my impressions of them! I want to clarify there were no petz I felt should not have been in the boxes or anything like that, though a couple have...interesting proportions. It's mostly just an excuse to share/gush about my favorites, and spend time with each one individually!
I'd also like to cover them in groups/sections instead of all at once, for ease of both sharing and reading! So without further ado, here are the first petz to be "unboxed": the Dane and Alley mixies!
I'll do Danes first, because I only got three out of all the petz, which was surprising to me, given how popular Danes are!
In order, these are CXIDP (-> Xido), MBDSY (-> Midaisy), and WOQJG (-> Joque)
I love Midaisy's white patch on her gray snout, and creamy coloration. So far, she's also a bit of a spitfire who's the least likely to get along with other petz! Xido is the only boy out of the three, and he's awfully handsome with his halfie coat, formal colors, and icy blue eyes. He and Joque also took to each other right away, and very soon there was a puppy. He was almost the splitting image of his mothers striking orange and white (minus the brown booties, but including the fluffy tail!) except I accidentally bred him with a half-finished OW in and instead he turned out...odd.
Yes, he has two floating addballs that follow him around everywhere. No, he doesn't have a muzzle. I'll uh. Fix that eventually, somehow.
All in all, I really like those three! Each one is unique and endearing in typical Dane fashion, and I'm honestly thrilled with them!
Though...I might love the Alleys even more!
TCJDM (->Tchijadem), PSGNO (-> Signore), NCSRA (-> Nescera), and NUNAJ (-> Nunnage)
I'll admit, I audibly gasped when I saw Nunnage. She is so so pretty. The black and white patches are distributed perfectly across her, and topped off with those periwinkle eyes and Alley ears! She's an Alley at heart, too. As nicely as she posed here, most of the photo session was spent with her hissing, spitting, and arcing her back furiously. She became fast friends with Tchijadem, who is also very lovely with her myriad colors!
Inversely, Nescera and Signore (the only boy, once again) became friends, and the two "cliques" promptly decided they hated each other. Something about cats basically having middle school drama is hilarious, but I do keep them separated now to avoid all the fighting. Signore and Nescera are pretty kitties themselves, though. I love Nescera's muted colors, and Signore's minimal markings (admittedly, he kinda looks like he's wearing a diaper xD).
Also, I only noticed while putting this together that they all have blue eyes, which is very cool!
I'll wrap it up here, before the number of pets get too overwhelming, but so far, these random petz are 2 for 2 when it comes to being batches of keepers! Next I might sort by Chi-eared petz, or whatever other pattern I notice comes up in several individuals. POL is Nunnage for sure, for being beautiful, feisty, and fitting her name (her coloration makes me think of an actual nun's habit! Perhaps she's genuinely cat-tholic?I'm so sorry) Really interested to hear what other people's favorites are, though, or if anyone else has tried the Emerald shop boxes before!
