I downloaded the Rainy Bedroom scene from Moonflower, along with the sounds for it, but the sounds won't play.

Are the sounds in the right folder? I can try to download it and test it out to see if it works in my game.

I downloaded the Rainy Bedroom scene from Moonflower, along with the sounds for it, but the sounds won't play. If it’s a Petz 4 playscene then you can give the playscene converter a try. You can find it at kel.rainbow-muffin.org

Reviving this thread because I'm having a similar issue! I'm using Petz 4, running as administrator, and only just started tinkering with the Playscene Editor a few days ago.
So far I'm having a blast following the in-game wizard. I've imported my own backgrounds, defined ledges, and so on, and have successfully saved my custom scenes. However, none of the ambient sound effects function after I leave the wizard. To be clear, they run just fine and at the proper intervals while in Edit mode, but once I go to to the actual saved scene... eerie silence!
I'm only using sound effects from the base game itself at this point, so it can't be the files or the file path. (These sounds function normally in ever other scene.) I've also been enjoying custom playscenes from you incredibly talented people for over a decade, so I know these can work properly. I must just be missing something silly.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe background sounds need to be defined as contact sounds also, even if they're not used on contact? I wouldn't have thought so, but the prompt is slightly confusing.
If this can only be solved by busting out LNZ and learning how to hex, I'm all for it. Thanks in advance!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but have you tried the program Kel linked above?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but have you tried the program Kel linked above? This is not a stupid question! And I thank you for asking it, because it made me reread the thread more closely. Since the program Kel suggested above was called a "converter," I mistakenly thought it was for fluxing playscenes between different versions of Petz. I was reading between the lines and thought Wisteria's problem was about mistakenly trying to open a Petz 5 scene in Petz 4 or something similar. So I didn't look into it.
WELL.
Thanks for prompting me to read again. This certainly seems like it will solve my problem! Much appreciated. <3

Yep, that fixed it! Thank you so much, Kieran @ Fractal -- and of course to Kel and "the long suffering husband" for creating this amazing fix.
