I'm really sorry if this is the wrong place to put this but I wasn't 100% sure whether to put it here or creative desk! I've seen quite a few people have a really sweet little signature banner, and I was curious as to how you go about making them? Some specific examples are Bunni's and Gin's little banners. I think Gin doesn't have it as their signature but its definitely on their website haha. I know people have probably asked this before so sorry if its at all annoying, I'm quite new to forums in general so I'm not very knowledgeable about little things like this Thank you!

Hi mewpixel! I made my little site link banner using MS Paint and then animated it (to get the blinking text) using the iPad app Procreate. There is a free program called Gimp, similar to Photoshop, that I recommend. I believe you can make animations on there too (although I’ve never tried before!), but it can be a bit complicated to navigate. I’m sure there are handy YouTube tutorials out there!
Off the top of my head, I can’t remember the dimensions for the banner, but you’re welcome to save mine and open it in Paint or whichever program you use to get that information. I also know I’ve seen Petz sites that offer templates, but once again I can’t remember where xD if it comes to me, I will share a link! (Or someone with better memory capacity will!)

Hi Mew!! Thank you so much for your kind words ^^ I created mine using Photoshop. But yes, as Gin mentioned, you could also use MS Paint, Gimp, Procreate, etc. If you'd like, I could make you a custom one! Is it for linking an (upcoming?) website?

thank you both so much for replying! I am making a website atm, but still deciding on a theme and such thank you very much for offering Bunni! I might message you when I know what I would like haha. I will check out Gimp, I'm sure I have Photoshop somewhere but I got a new pc relatively recently so I'll have to have a hunt for it

If you go with gimp here are some of my favorite tutorials. www.gimp.org/tutorials/I've found a lot of Photoshop tutorials for core things work too, it's just you have to find out where the tool is as a lot of them are in a different spot.

The signature dimensions allowed on the forum are a maximum of 700 pixels in length and 70 pixels in height. There's a graphic with the correct dimension in this thread which you could save and use as a base. Of course it can be smaller if you prefer.

Ah sorry Catbaloo, I meant the dimensions of those website link banners that are put on sites to link back. Maybe button is a better word for what I mean? Now that I'm on my laptop I can see that they seem to be 88 x 31 px

one good tip I can give for editing petz images is to *never* resize them. They are pixel images and only truly look sharp when they're at 100% their size. Even 99% or 101% will throw them off. If you keep them the same size and just add a little pixel eyeshine it already looks quite nice in my opinion. Oh and make sure you never convert them to .jpg, that format distorts pixel images. Use pngs and you're good to go ^^

Now that I'm on my laptop I can see that they seem to be 88 x 31 px Ah I see what you mean now. I've always wondered why the odd number of pixels for those buttons. Why not 32 or 30? If it's so you have a central line of pixels in the middle why isn't is 89 or 87 for the length? Also off topic but anyone remember putting "blinkies" in their signatures? I use to love those (as long as the animation wasn't overly distracting) but they fell out of favour.

I read somewhere that's because the Geocities button on everyone's site was that size so people made their own link buttons to match so they could make a grid with all the buttons matching at least that's what I think it was
