Just curious what you all believe in! Check all that applies. I'm probably forgetting to list some big thing that should have been there for sure, and that I'll remember right after posting, but oh well (I'll add an "Other" choice for that). Be nice if you post below about any controversial topics

I like to think I'm pretty open-minded...for things like ghosts, aliens/UFOs, psychics, reincarnation...a lot of people think those things aren't possible, and while that could be, I feel like there's too many people with similar stories for them not to be. Even if they're not as extreme as we think. For example, there -might- not be ghosts haunting places that are fully aware of what they are saying and doing to people who communicate with them, but that doesn't mean some sort of lingering spiritual energy isn't sort of hanging in the air, making things feel strange, making little things happen that set people off, you know?
I feel like, to -some- extent, most of these things have a possibility, if nothing more. So I guess you could say I believe in them, but am open to them not being quite how everyone assumes they are. But there's definitely something there.
Sadly, the one thing on this list I believe in the least is humanity. Don't even ask, it's a dark, downward spiral I'm dealing with every day, but I've been let down and betrayed too many times. It's kind of...odd for me to look at this list and be all "Oh yeah, I believe in ghosts. Oh sure, aliens too!" and when I see my own species, and what my kind is capable of...and -that- is where I can't say I believe anymore? Wow.
...Please be aware I'm not trying to say "YOU'RE ALL HORRIBLE!!" xD Obviously there are good people too. But somedays it feels like the bad outweighs the good, and it can be almost smothering to think about.
Oh wow, after having another look, I don't think I believe in love, or myself either. I seem to be much more full of doubt and trust issues than I originally thought. xD
Here's another one for you guys though! What about unusual...creatures/cryptids? Like Bigfoot, and the Loch Ness Monster? Stuff like that? Do you believe in those kind of things, or no? Same answer as above for me. -Something- is out there, I think, but whether it's what we think it is or not remains to be seen. I don't trust any videos I see on such topics though. I feel like if anything real is found, it would be all over the news and become a global topic quite quickly! xD

I'm not quite sure about all the others (not even myself...and definitely not humanity with the way things are going right now) but the two things I know for sure that I believe in are UFOs and extraterrestrial life. One of my best friends agrees that space is just far too big for us to be the only ones out there and the reasons they haven't visited us yet are because
1.) Space is HUGE, maybe even endless and it'd probably take a long time to get to Earth even with some kind of advanced form of travel or
2.) They have been/are already here and maybe the government even knows about them, but won't disclose it
3.) We just don't interest them enough to warrant a visit
But I've had a few experiences with UFOs which is surprising because I live in a boring regular neighborhood, no fields for crop circles anywhere in sight xD Not first contact (I think I'd have a heart attack lol) but they were pretty creepy experiences nonetheless.
There was a time when it was really late (about 1 or 2 in the morning) and my mom and I were still up for some reason. She was opening my window so I could get some air but then stopped and said something like "what's that?" We both looked and saw these little red lights hovering every which way right over my friend's house. My mom's excuse to this day (and later my dad's when we told him, lol) was that they were drones. At about 2 in the morning xD We never saw them again.
A creepier one was seeing a weird green light flashing on my bedroom wall late at night for about a minute before it went away. Not sure if this one counts as a UFO because I didn't see the "source" but I know it wasn't a car because I didn't hear one and they usually pass by quick with only a shadow on my wall, not a green light. I never saw it again.
The creepiest time is when I was looking out my window again and saw a "star" coming closer (it looked like one from far away, but then it started moving closer like it noticed me watching it o.0) I thought it was a plane at first, but it was moving way too close. It scared me so I hid under my bed covers and peeked out as a bright red light passed right by my window, almost like it was trying to find me...thankfully it only went by once. It wasn't blinking and it didn't make any noise so it couldn't have been a plane or helicopter and it was way too close to my window.
Just...creepy. But I am a firm believer that we are not the only ones, whatever that means...space has always been fascinating to me, if not a little frightening xD

Space is just far too big for us to be the only ones out there... I agree with this completely. The odds of us being the only things out there are unrealistically tiny. It kinda goes back to what I was saying too...maybe there aren't 'little green men' out there like a lot of us think...it could be -anything at all-...but there is something out there. For sure. How could there not be?? But wow, reading your experiences on possibly UFOs was really exciting/interesting!! Thank you for sharing! I like listening to stories online about spooky things, whether it be ghosts, aliens or even just spooky people in general...I enjoy hearing those kinds of stories! It's fascinating to me! But man do I wonder what those encounters were about!! I wonder what they were doing...what they even were! I don't think I've had any unusual encounters (unless you want to talk about the freakish new bug I discovered that I wish had remained a secret) the only thing I can think of was...uhh. Man, how do I even describe it? I want to say a series of events leading to a possible...possession?? But that makes it sound way more extreme than it was. It was a little personal though, so while I don't want to post it out here, anyone interested can PM me for the story. xD There's not a lot to it though. But that's the closest I can think of to experiencing the paranormal as I've ever been.

I'm definitely one for extraterrestrial life. I don't know if it will be intelligent as I don't know that the human race is all too smart sometimes XD
I am a bit of a paranormal junkie, ghosts and demons and cryptids - the works! There are so many things that humankind has thought to be BS and it turned out to be real, like the lowland gorilla and the coaelacanth still living, that I can't go 'there's no way...' . We keep finding new species big and small, so living beings that we can't pin down are a very real possibility to me. As to the 'nonliving', well I've had some experiences and only one was terrifying. I am 100% sure my maternal grandfather checked in on me once as a kid, suffering a bout of depression (now that I know what that feeling of utter emptiness and despair is), and my paternal grandmother saved my dumb ass from falling down the stairs headfirst once. I once saw a bride in the hallway and she looked exactly like a photograph my mother had from the turn of the 20th century. My brother saw her too and we both drew the same thing without speaking to one another (minus drawing style differences - he can draw and I can't xD). The terrifying one was when my mother was essentially dying from liver failure. She was very sick but there wasn't much hospital could do and she was suffering what's called fetor hepaticus. The body can't properly process toxins and as a result essentially smells like an open crypt. It's !#@$ing terrifying. Well I was on watch and was on my way to the bathroom from my room at home. It was basically walk out of my room and look left and there's the hall and the hall ends in mom's doorway, then walk a couple feet and turn right and there's the bathroom. Well I had to pee and had this unnerved vibe and decided to look down the hall. I saw what looked like a ringwraith from LOTR sweep across the light of the window and I went to investigate and found nothing. I did my business and as I was walking back I saw the blasted thing again just standing there. Freaked me out to say the least and I was OWO for the entire night, and kept checking on mom. She ended up pulling through and her liver actually recovered to pre-failure levels to the point she didn't have to take medication anymore!

Facts, Science, God, and Evolution. Love! These were all I checked, although I spend time pondering some of the others. I was taught about God early in life, although not through my parents. I struggle at times, but still chose to believe. Generally, especially in my older years, I tend to lean toward, if I can see proof, I believe. Otherwise it's only something someone has chosen for me to believe... which is why I've struggled with God. I'm not close-minded, but I prefer to see proof. As for things beyond earth, no proof. However, I do believe it's possible because of the vast expanse of space. Also, one night as a teen, I was on an overnight fishing trip on a beach. The group of adults I was with and I watched a ball of light zig-zagging very quickly through the sky in odd patterns, and no explanation of what it could possibly have been. If I'd seen it alone, no one would have believed it, but I had several adults all in shock along with me. It actually looked like a star, zooming to various other stars. Crazy. We watched for a long time... although I cannot quite remember how it ended. *shrugs* As for myself, nah... I hose things up too often. I've excepted it as being imperfect. As for humanity, I can't as a whole. There are several humans however, that I do believe in. I have lots of proof about love.

I believe in God yes but I also believe in science and the paranormal. I think it's okay to believe in those different things. I grew up forced to go to church. As an adult I still believe in a higher being but hey maybe there are multiple Gods, We just don't know. That's why I also like science and facts. For it does help explain a lot of things.
As for UFOs and the paranormal I ABSOLUTELY believe we are not alone at there and that for some there is life after death. I eat up stuff like ghosts, crypt ids, aliens, you name it like candy. Give me a good ghosty show anytime! Also when I was in my 20s I had a horrible experience of being oppressed by a demon. It got so bad a couple times I nearly did the unthinkable. I won't go into too many details but it took a lot to get rid of the sucker.
I also totally believe in Hitsuzen or Fate. To me everything happens for a reason and fate and destiny are there to guide us. ^^

I am still convinced the gods sit at a round table and talk crap about us mere mortals. The old pantheons sit and play on their phones so to speak and wait for someone to offer a prayer or ask for their favour xD They also discuss how stupid we all are and go "I didn't say that." xD
