Hi!! This is my first time going into posing, but I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out if the poses i've done are aligned just right or not! So some help would be greatly appreciated!
Cat 1: Cali Mixie
Cat 2: Purebred Tabby (Hexed Palette)

Certainly not bad, especially if this is your first time going into posing!!
So with cats there are 2 main areas of interest: the tails and the front legs. You want the tail to be a C-shaped curve, and the front legs to overlap as much as possible. Those two things are the basis of any good cat pose.
Your cali mixie has the best tail curve in the third picture - that's an excellent tail right there! In the two other pics, the tip of the tail is kind of pointing upwards; the tail is still too straight. For your tabby, the first and third pic are both great. In the middle pic, the tail doesn't look curved at all.
As for the alignment, your calico is turned towards the camera just a little too much. You can see a few pixels of the outline of far leg sticking out under the chest. This is a matter of preference, though; calicos have funky legs that either show a bit of leg or a bit of ankle and can never 100% overlap, and some judges prefer to see a little bit of leg like you see here. I think it's nicer/more consistent to judge the alignment by the legs though (which allows some of the ankle to show), just like with other breeds.
Another fun extra about calicos (calico personality, to be exact) is their eyelids. They will sit at seemingly random positions every time your cat poses. Some judges fault uneven eyelids, some judges ignore the eyelids completely, some will place your cat higher if they're nice and even. All in all, it can't hurt to aim for even eyelids! Pictures A and C are quite good in this regard, but the eyelids are a bit too uneven in picture B.

Thank you so much Arie! Glad to know my tabby posing is pretty much good to go with A and C, tails definitely seem to be my weak point with regular cat poses. As for my cali mixie, it definitely seems like something I ought to chalk up to calicos being calicos... Since with him in particular I've tried both manual positioning + coaxing him to run off the left side of the screen (since i've noticed that whenever cats run off the side of a playscene, they'll always run back in the opposite direction in a straight line. at least for me they do?) I'll try out seeing if i can angle him a little more to have the imperfect ankle rather than the imperfect leg! Will give updates if I'm successful.
