Hey y'all, so I'm doing a biped type hex and I'm really happy with everything except the face.... Slight problem LOL. The eyes and beak go all over the place. When I had the top ball as the actual head ball the whole head moved all over, but the eyes and beak stayed on the face as they should. My first guess was it was an anchoring issues, so I tried anchoring them to the chest ball(which is lower big ball there lol) in the Move section and it helped, but the eyes and beak still float all over. I was making great progress and now I'm just...stuck LOL. Any help?

Can I just spam and say that absolutely cracked me up xDDDD That is a VERY well hexed Rowlet...but yeah there's something slightly off. The whole face. x'DDD LOL I love it!
I'm not 100% sure how to fix it. I'd probably base the face balls off something else, but then they wouldn't function...if there's a way to do it, someone around here should definitely know. Thanks for the laugh though, and the hex does look very good! I kind of want one like that now xDDD

Whoa! I'm assuming you weren't going for a duck with an invisible head? Yeah, when you start making large body modifications, things start to get tricky and wonky. Okay, did you anchor the eyes and beak balls in the [Project Ball] section? Are the eyes and beak all addballz, or did you use any original ballz?
Just to note if you don't already know: You can assign any ball or addball to work as an eye or iris by adding an [Eyes] section, and listing the numbers of the eyes and irises like: [Eyes]
righteye, lefteye rightiris, leftiris
Just be sure to list the original eyes/irises under omissions for any you change. That way you can use a different ball as an eye or iris and have it still blink and look around and stuff.

LOL CatCreature , I totally uploaded this to youtube just for you: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctmzwZGrvBQI got it better than this but I was DYING watching it omg. The beak just like...picks up a ball and keeps floating XD And thank you for the compliment :3 Oh thank you Barguestspirit !!! I appreciate it a lot, had no idea that you could make an ball into an eye haha, that'll be useful! They're based on the original ballz, it's the two eyes and then the beak is based on the snout and chin balls and includes them. I also did attempt to anchor in Project Ball but I had trouble with figuring out the distance and I didn't manage to get it any better than it is right now. I'll definitely that a try, and maybe try playing around in Project Ball again XD This is my first every biped hex where I left any original facial features so I only somewhat know what I'm doing LOL. Thank you both, really appreciate it! ~Vanilla

Okay, what I'd recommend is basing all of the addballz off the same original ball, perhaps the head ball for the beak and eyes (if you want addball eyes instead of the original eyes). Basing them off different balls can cause issues, and the head ball is a nice stable core ball to base things off. Basing all the ballz off the same original ball can also simplify things and make symmetry much easier. You can go ahead and omit the original snout/chin/mouth corners/nostrils/nose, then build all your facial features off the head ball. However, if you want the hex to be able to pick up objects, you will need to keep the jaw ball.
Project ball can be tough to figure out, just play around with the percentage. Also I wanted to note that you can anchor ballz in the move section to more than one ball. For instance, I can put a line for a knee ball and anchor it to the hip ball by putting the hip ball in the fifth column. Then I can make another line for the knee ball, this time putting the butt ball in the fifth column. This anchors the knee to both the hip and butt to help sort out wonky movement when the pet walks. This is useful for tying down ballz that are moving weird, in conjunction with the project ball section.

Oh man. That was even better than I expected...why are the eyes going nuts? xDD Usually when I have an issue like this, they just move in the same pattern as the head...as if there's literally an invisible head there, and you can practically track it's process. But WHOA. I've never seen it absolutely freak out like that!! xDD Thanks for sharing! This'll probably sound random and weird, but you've got a great laugh too! Barguestspirit I didn't know you could make any ball into an eye either! Do they still sorta move in time with a head, or are they more stable? Do you need to anchor them to anything as well? It only works with two balls at a time, right? xD I figure yes, but it'd be great to have a bunch of working eye balls. Sorry for more spam, I just wanted to say a thanks and I was curious about the eye addball trick now! That really is cool to know!

Vanilla! Don't change anything! If you're planning to share these, please oh please, have the wonky file available too! (Otherwise, I applaud the hexing. Wish I had an answer for your problem. /sortof ;-))

CatCreature : When you designate another ball as an eyeball or iris, it will act just like the normal one would. An eyeball will have a eyelid and will blink, an iris will move to look around. I used the "Eyes" section when I did these: That eyeball in the hand is an addball. It works just like a normal eye. So for example, I can take a lab and make it's jowls into eyeballs, and it's original eyeballs into irises: Or, list it's shoulders as eyeballs and return it's irises to the original ones, then omit the original eyeballs: *snigger* Or, leaving the original eyeballs omitted and leaving the irises alone, I can make a couple of addballz and place them where I want, then list them as the eyeballs. For more fun, I listed the addball on the right as the left eyeball, and the addball on the left as the right eyeball: It gets better: Googly eyed lab. Much derp, many LOLs.

LOL thank you all!!! I haven't had time to try and fix the file yet, but since I saw y'all are requesting the file like this...would you prefer it with just the eyes and beak floating around like in the video above or one with the entire head doing so? I've still got a version saved where it behaves like this... IMO this way it's actually sort of playable but the head DOES still go crazy all over the place XD Give me the word and I'll put it up on my archive ~Vanilla

Oh my gosh, just when you think this thread can't get any better...that lab is HILARIOUS. xDDDD I also didn't realize the eyeball in the hand on your hex worked like a real eye ball...but yeah! I see it looking around in one of those images now...that's cool!!
Haha, I also think I like the Rowlet in the video the best...mainly because I haven't seen anything QUITE like that before xD I've seen the head stretching thing happen before, so while it's amusing as well, it's not really a new thing for me, you know? The one in the video...yeah. That's unique LOL!!
If you're actually going to put that one on your archive, I feel like I need to hex you a trade sometime! xD
