So it's been a while? I think about 7 years since my last post 0_o I'm not exactly sure why I decided to drop off the radar but I managed to get my old computer up and running and I found all my old petz and it suddenly brought back a load of memories of this place. I'm glad to see it's still around and active Anyway I have got the game up and running (just about) on my laptop and I am currently in the process of sorting through my petz. Turns out before I vanished I was planning on adopting out a load of petz so I have about 150+ catz that need adopting (not even dared look at the dogz yet). Sooo when I have time I shall go through them all and decide which ones to keep and then adopt the rest out. If you like MPC's especially with Alley spots then keep your eyes open! I hope everyone is well, I hope there are still some members around back from when I was active but I equally look forward to meeting everyone else and seeing how the petz community has changed since I left. ~Ilyana

Thanks all! I have started the very long process of going through all my petz, It's harder than I thought as I just want to keep them all!

I welcomed you on WW but welcome back here too! PetzPicFactory by Nicholas Sherlock might help you sort faster, if you don't use that already. You just drop the .exe into your petz folder and it extracts their pick-a-pet picture into the folder. so you can just scroll through .pet files alongside their corresponding .gif images

Finding old petz and the nostalgia that comes with that is the best. Welcome back!

I have spent hours so far trying to sort through them and taking pics is sometimes the hardest part (trying not to keep them often trumps that, however...) Thanks for the suggestion, I shall go find it now ^_^ I hope your P5 to P4 conversion is going well Finding old petz and the nostalgia that comes with that is the best. Welcome back! Yes, I can't believe I gave this game up, I am very glad to have rediscovered it Thank you!

Thank you! It's a struggle lol - I've been running Petz 4 through a disassembler and trying to find where it calls the checksum algorithm so I can try to reverse engineer it, but it's hard. I've been learning about computer registers and assembly code all day today (as I attempted to analyze the assembly code the game was executing), but I think I'm getting close! No idea how long it'll take though.
