Yup. I fix one problem, and life throws me another. Long story short, I was breeding and named one pet, "OH ". Now I expected that this wouldn't be a problem (I put smiles in my petz names all the time.), but when I opened my adopted pets folder, its Icon was different from the other petz files and it wouldn't let me delete it, and I have no idea why. Please help? I can get a little OCD and this is annoying the hell out of me.

Have you tried renaming it OH.pet?

I believe it's because of the code. It messes with the windows files. Actually, I'm surprised you can name your petz with smiles, any file name with : usually doesn't work correctly at all :0

^ I believe so aswell. It wasn't different from the other files besides that. I hate computers. So moody. Tried renaming it, but it didn't work. I keep getting the same error message. I also tried unistalling. It's still there.

It certainly is xD Hmmm but you can't open it with petz anymore? If you could, maybe you could change the name there. If not, you can try this, it has helped me before

I can still open the game and take out toyz, petz, and such but I get this error message oppon opening. I suspect that its a completely unrelated problem, it started after the one this thread is based on. And thank you for the like,^^ but I'm not a computer wiz and most of the terms they're using are confusing me. lol

You can probably force a deletion using the command prompt. Or, if you don't know how to do that, try entering Safe Mode and you should be able to delete it there.

Have you restarted the computer since the problem started? Sometimes that frees up a locked file. There are free programs that can delete locked files for you. I can't remember the name off hand but I used one before when I had a similar problem.

^ Thank you Cat, but I tried to restart. D: Didn;t work.
Does anyone know how to get into Safe mode on a Windows xp? Sorry, If I 'm being demanding, I just have no idea how to deal with computer issues.

that verbasset.dll error means you downloaded a toy/clothing for a different version I think? xD

I get the verbasset.dll error all the time now, it started right after I downloaded a toy that is for a different version, but even after deleting the file it sometimes will pop up. It will also do this if you have a petz 5 file in petz 4 i believe... as for safe move its usually f8 or f10.

Thank you guys! I believe that the Ver. error is most definatly caused by a toyz. I should be abile to fix it easily.
But alas, I've tried safe mode, and it still doesn't work. T-T Do you guys think I should just restore my computer?
Thanks to everyone who is/has tried to help me. The late reply was due to school work.
