*shines Brynn symbol in the sky*This happens ALL THE TIME. Ugh. I recently uninstalled + reinstalled petz 4 and can't remember if it ever did this before. :/ Pressing abort just closes the game, pressing debug opens the "windows is checking for solutions..." window but of course it never finds one. ._. This can happen as often as every minute. It happens more frequently when I have a lot of petz out, but it can happen even with 2 petz out and playing by themselves while I surf the net. HELP ME. ;_; I absolutely hate this and idk what's wrong with it.

This happens to me too, just not very often, so I never posted about it :/ I'll be stalking this thread for an answer!

This is a wild guess but the is a compatible issue between Petza and Petz 4 as well as between Petz 4 and the newer Windows systems. Sometime I forget to install the patch correcting this when I reinstall Petz 4. This is not the message I usually get though so I don't know if this is your problem. You can get the patch from here www.petz.ws/oddpetz/ or here www.apkc.tmccats.co.uk/As I said I don't know if this is your problem or not. But it is the only thing that comes to mind.

I've had this error before too. I usually just restart Petz. Maybe a certain breed file or pet file is causing it. I believe the patch is included in petza, so I don't think you need to install the patch if you already have petza, but I could be mistaken.

Yep, I believe the patch is included as well. :c Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
;_; This is ridiculous. I can't play for five minutes without the game closing. Ugh, and I just reinstalled P4, too. x___x All my toyz, clothez, and everything.

Have you tried running P4 as an Administrator? It's just a wild guess, I know it works for some other programs, so I thought I'd mention it :]

I'm uninstalling + reinstalling P4 right now, this time in My Documents instead of my program files. :/ Maybe that will help? Hopefully. If not, I'll have to go buy the game or something because it crashed every couple of minutes and, even worse, seems to take me back in time to when I first opened it. Like, genders will be un-switched, the first dog I took out comes out of the pet door instead of the last one, etc. At least the dogs I breed aren't deleted or something. This sucks. I haven't been able to play for more than five minutes at a time for about a week now. :c I have contests here and on TWS to finish.

Unfortunately, there are about half a billion things that can go wrong when you're running a program as old as Petz with a new operating system. I'm not looking forward to the Windows 8 compatibility issues. As best as I can guess, installing the game to My Documents or C:\ and installing Petza should fix this.

Thank you, Brynn! I did uninstall and reinstall P4 like I said, and since then it's only happened once. n__n I don't know what caused it, but I think reinstalling did the trick.
