The basic requirements of a tamsin is a dog with dalmation body, head, and legs, but markings from other breeds. The required markings are mutt patches, but sometimes they have halfie markings like sheepdogs, dali spots, gshep saddles. Lately, the biggest tamsin movement has been different ears. Here are some of mine: Lola has poodle ears and socks, but she has the dali body and mutt patches so she is a tamsin. This is Beta. He has sheepie half markings and tail and scottie ears. Purple is the basic Tamsin. She is strictly Dali/Mutt so those are her only features. She has mutt ears. Alpha is a smooth Tamsin. He has the dachie smooth coat (which is a personal fav of mine). If you want to get a better definition, there is a website with the "standards."

The original Tamsin site that started it all with the standard is gone, but that's a quote of the standard from it so that you can see. Some of the comments on it relate to pictures for registration (since the site also registered dogz as official Tamsins). Many people do breed dogz with different ears, like shown above, but by the standard they aren't "true" Tamsins. They don't have to be though, they're still awesome dogz with amazing ears (I myself love Chihuahua ears on a Tamsin) but if you're really by the book, the standard is what I quoted above If you're more lenient then you can obviously throw different ears or tails into the mix, heh.
