I used to have a Geocities site, which I loved b/c even though it would be glitchy sometimes, it was super easy to use and FREE. However, Yahoo is pulling the plug on Geocities, and now I'm on the prowl for a new place to set up a site. I can't do HTML to save my life unfortunately, so that limits my choices, as well as my love of all things free. So, any suggestions? Pros & Cons? Thanks!

I one used freewebs, it was fairly easy, but then again, my friend and I made the layout useing HTML and I'm not sure if you can customize it very well otherwise... Also you don't get your own URL, it will be something like freewebs.com/yoursitenamehere.htm which doesn't exactly roll off the fingertips...

I use Freewebs for all of my sites (if you would like to see some, click my signature) and I have learned how to use HTML in order to make these sites. The Freewebs templates offer some customization but honestly, just learn how to use HTML. It is not hard. I basically used trial & error to make it work.
- If you make a subfolder, you can avoid annoying advertisements near the bottom or pick a different style of ad - It has a lot of space - Very customizable & easy to edit whether you are using a template or HTML (I actually find templates harder to use)
Just a few good points. It is easier than Geocities (and does not have those annoying ads on the side that should drive anybody crazy). I would offer to help you with HTML but I can send you a site I used to start off with that is super easy to edit though I`m leaving on Sunday for over a month and a half so I`m not sure if you would like to wait that long, haha.
