So, I just got SPORE today, and I installed it and everything.. But when I open it up, my computer goes to a blue screen and tell me a bunch of stuff I don't understand. =[
Help?

I looked some stuff up on the Spore forums and it could be a lotta things. ><
Do you have K9 web filtering? EA even stated that Spore isn't compatible with that, so you may have to turn that off before you play.
But it may be that you have to update your graphic card drivers, get the newest Windows updates and reinstalling the game after you do all of that. I'd also check how much RAM you have, and double check that your computer meets the minimum requirements to run the game.
Other than that... I dunno what to tell you >< I would try contacting EA customer support and see what they say about it tomorrow. Or try checking the official Spore forums and hunt around a little more; you're definitely not the only one with this problem!

For windows updates, open your IE, click on "Tools" in the task bar and scroll down to Windows updates. It'll take you to MS's site and list what updates you need to snag. From what I read, you need service pack 3 or higher. To check your RAM, go to Start > Control Panel > System. There'll be a list of your computer's name, processor, all that fun stuff. Under "Computer" in the 3rd line, that's where you'll find how much RAM you have. Depending on if you have a laptop or a PC, the RAM may be integreted with your graphics card or be separate. If you feel like you need more RAM, www.newegg.com/ is having a deal on RAM right now and they sell all of their computer stuff pretty cheap! My bf just bought 4 gigs of RAM for $30 USD. It's pretty sweet. For K9 Web Filtering... that's basically you're anti-virus program. Usually the program is listed on the Start menu under all programs. Anddd my bf just pointed out this site to me: www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest He says it diagnoses the problem specifically and tells you what to do to fix it! So you may not have any of the problems I suggested or it may be something completely different.

XD Neco beat me to it. If you wind up needing more RAM, the best and cheapest place to get it from is Newegg.com.
