Greetings! I've been working on a new layout for my website. I was very excited today since it is nearing completion. However, I have an issue that has me thinking I might have to scrap the entire layout. The background images are sized in such a way that I can view them without repetition or having them get cut off. Obviously there are a lot of different sized monitors with different resolutions out there, and every other computer I've loaded my site on makes the entire layout look like some two year old stitched it together with its feet. I can set the images to not repeat, but then I get blank space where the image *would* repeat, and it looks just as awful. I don't think there is a way to fit the background to the screen - but I would welcome a correction! All that blabber being said, what I would really appreciate is if people would go to my site, click around, and let me know how awful things look. If the general consensus is that things repeat or look crappy I guess I'll start all over again. www.angelfire.com/vamp2/thegoddessofmiseryThanks in advance for the time and input! ~ECRose

It begins to repeat on my screen and my resolution is 1280 x 1024. I can just start to see the image at the bottom & side to repeat itself.
Perhaps use patterns instead, as giant background images are off putting to me. They do seem like a two year old stitched it together as you said which is why I never dare to try backgrounds and just stick with patterns that repeat themselves and look pretty cool.

I've always used patterns or something fairly solid and bland. I was hoping to do something a bit different this time. I wanted it to look classy and professional. I failed. I suppose I should go back to the drawing board and start over... Gah, I wanted to use my photos really bad ~ECRose

Woops! Thanks for pointing that out - I forgot to switch the fonts after the heading. I'll fix that now >^.^< EDIT: I went to change it and the font was the same as the font on the rest of the pages. How odd. I did make a minor revision though. Would you be willing to check again and see if it is fixed? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again for the heads up. ~ECRose

Its still the same as before. All the other pages has normal fonts. (except for heading, which is big enough to read) your odd ball toys page has a white back ground.
-- I love ur necklases by the way. I have petz 3 though, or i would download them for sures!

The background is white on that page so that the details in the grub animations can be seen. I'm keeping it that way until I finish animation .gifs with a white background. . I like people to get a good impression of a file before they download it. I don't know why the font is misbehaving. I'll check it again. Angelfire can be slow about updating changes. EDIT: Made the font bigger and used css coding to define the font. I hope that fixed it. I can convert the necklaces to Petz 3 for you if you'd like. ~ECRose

Thanks! I appreciate your help a lot. I hope it's fixed now. I'll try to get going on some conversions to petz 3 - it isn't hard, it just takes a lot of time for so many files. Is there anything specific other than the necklaces that you'd like to have? ~ECRose

I'm glad you're enjoying them. Were the fonts behaving properly? I tested my site on my brother's PC this morning and everything looked like it was resolved.

For me its still the same as i posted before but it may be my pc. I tried deleting my history but its still showing up the same, but i'm not sure if its just not loading the updates. the only other thing that seemed a little glitchy for me was the Anubis plushie. When the dogz picked it up it seemed to hover below their mouth instead of being in their mouth. Every thing else seemed to work fine

Ah, I created that plushie for Petz 5 and Minibyte converted it for me since I was busy with college at the time. In this case I think that Minibyte had to use a different base toy than the one I used in Petz 5 because it isn't in Petz 3, which is the reason why the placement is different. Minibyte is very careful not to alter the original work of the hexer, so that's why the placement wasn't changed. I'll take a look at it and post an updated version ~ECRose EDIT: Posted a new Petz 3 version of the Anubis plushie. Strange, when I adjusted the "grabbed" animation it changed drastically when the cursor was holding it, but not so much when the pet does. If I adjust the placement so that the toy is fully in the pet's mouth it is way above the cursor. I adjusted it to the best balance that I could. Thanks for the info!
