I really wish that this would stop. I don't think that the wolves deserve this. What do you all think?

Explaining more about the topic would be helpful, as I'm sure not everyone knows about the nuances yet.

I think aerial shooting is rather wrong. >.o The "explanation" offered for why it happens is so often that "wolves are depleting the caribou, we should kill them!" This is completely incorrect, though. <<; Silly people not knowing anything about how ecosystems work. When a herbivore becomes scarce it's rarely due to an excess of natural predation (not including invasive species). If there's a species to blame for the decline, 99% of the time it's us. -/endrant-

I'm against it. Without wolves, the ecosystem might get a bit crazy. Crazy overload of deer, elk, etc. and more of them dying from illnesses. Plus I love wolves. ^__^ My favorite animal. I hate how people feel if they think an animal population is too large, we can just get rid of them. Why not get rid of some of us? I personally think there are too many people on this planet.

Doggiebells, for humans, it's based on economics. They feel that the wolves are killing too many caribou and are trying to trim down their numbers so that the caribou numbers inflate, allowing humans to cull the herds for themselves. It's just a repeating cycle from colonization days, where humans simply took out the competition to try and up the prey animal numbers for food and sport hunting, though it's not nearly as bad as it was in the 20s and 30s. It's not based on meanness or anything, haha.
I think the book/movie "Never Cry Wolf" explained it best though, haha. Ohhh environmental history class...
