Is there a way to make 'Mixed Breed' petz into 'Great Dane' or 'Dalmation' or any other pet you can choose from?

^ All that does is change the breed name... it won't actually make the pet into a purebred.

Wait, i'm confuzed...can I change the breed of the pet from a mixed breed to a great dane, or any other breed? Uh oh.... Now _I_ am confused. Please explain in detail what the situation is and exactly what it is that you want to do. Be specific so I can follow what you are saying.

ok there are 2 things you could mean: 1. You want to change the profile of your pet so it changes what breed its 'says' it is to what it isnt but keeps the same dog 2 OR you could want to actually change the dog to a different breed Thats what im getting hope i havent confused you any more!

Yeah, neat analysis If it's 1 that Prettydog1 is after, then that's very complicated but you should be able to get some idea from my tutorial on changing breednames in petz. If it's 2, then the best answer is to clone the pet, putting the data into the .lnz of a different breedfile. My ultra-easy pet to breed howto should help with that -- I hope Carolyn

If you're wanting to change it like that, then the family history isn't important in your breeding programme and my advice would be to "clone" the pet, using a Great Dane overwriting breedfile -- detailed info for that is in my Ultra easy Pet to breed "howto" Updated Aug 2004and breed using the clone. That would be a gazillion times easier than trying to change a petfile of a pet that's such a mixie! Cheers Carolyn
