Hiya, yes I dusted off my account and popped in just for help. XD So I have run the game as admin and not as admin, and it had left me with 2 separate adopted petz files. I need to get rid of the non-admin ones, but the game doesn't allow me to chase them and I don't even know where to begin to try and find the pet files, the Adopted Petz folder I find is the admin-run ones and those are being kept. Help?

Are you using the PetzA profiles thing? Like when you start the game, does it show two separate profiles that have the petz listed under them which you can select? If so, the other ones you're trying to find would be kept in a folder under "PetzAProfiles" in your main Petz folder.
Otherwise I have no idea how you could end up with two separate instances of Adopted Petz... unless you have the game installed in two different places maybe?

It's not, it's really weird... what petz show up depends on whether or not I 'Run As Administrator' or just open it without specifying. And I cannot find another folder with Petz in it but they somehow exist.

WELP Apparently I figured it out... sort of? The game decided it would allow me to return them one by one... which at 30-something petz, it took a minute, but it's all cleared out now and they're in the usual 'returned petz' file. That was weird.

That's weird, I wonder how that happens, since there is only one Adopted Petz folder.
Although I have kinda had something similar happen to me when I first played Petz 4 on my Windows 10 laptop, but not with the .pet files. For some reason which items were in the playscenes would change depending on whether I was running as admin or not, as if there were two different files being saved for them. So whatever was happening in your game is probably a related issue.
I looked through AppData on my laptop where I had that problem with the playscenes to see if there were any hidden things (since that's where a lot of cache from programs is stored) but I couldn't find anything Petz related. At least you were able to get rid of them though.

I don’t know if this will help any, but if you go into the C:\\ drive and find your Program Files folder, see if you have a Program Files x86 folder too, and check in there for any Petz related folders. You might have Petz folders in both Program Files folders and, there could be copies of the .pet files? My memory is a little fuzzy right now about how newer operating systems can be with Petz, as I still use Windows 7.
Sorry if I’m not making much sense! I’m having a hard time focusing today.
