OMG!!! I am blown away by your stories and pictures!!!! And your SQUIRRELS!!!! They are amazing!! I want squirrels!! You even have a two-headed squirrel!!! Whaaaaaat?!?!
That's so weird how they end up looking different between yours and your sister's games!
I did get the game yesterday, but haven't had time to try it yet... it's killing me. I might be able to try it tomorrow.

I just wanted to share these images...I'll try not to image spam so much this time. x'DDD And also...my sister and I wondered what we should even do on Wobbledogs next. We felt a little frustrated with the patterns changing through aging sometimes, making collecting those in genetic not really consistent. My sister discovered that if you tell a ghost dog to eat something, wait for it to digest, they create ectoplasm! If you feed them again while it's in their belly, they release it. The more you feed that to your dogs, the more likely it is to get black bodies! My sister loves black, so she had to try it. And I decided to join her. (While breeding squirrels on the side.) It's a slow process we just started...I'm working with these three dogs right now, and I had to show them! They're so goofy, full of personality and they're just a crack-up. x'DDD Forest and Lavender were born from a mom who was on a diet of ectoplasm, and her clone, who got some too. I was pleased with how much darker Forest got, and Lavender turned out a little wrong in going too purple, but she's still dark colored and pretty so I went with it. xD Then along came Silver...before their parents passed on, I decided to try ONE more time...since I'm anticipating Lavender's colors throwing the whole attempt. Silver was as dark as I could get that round...and his eyes are always like that...they crack me up! xD He looks so nervous, twitchy, and HORRIBLY awkward. And he just walked over to these two while they danced, all like "Er...hello..." Forest practically pounced on him, grabbed his ear, and was just clinging happily to him...and you can see how happy he was by that blurred tail, LOL!! I think Silver was a little alarmed at first, but came to accept their love in his own way. x'DDD I'm gonna miss these guys when they're gone...but I'll keep their codes so they can come back any time! <3 --- EDIT: I only just now noticed your reply, Ratqueen! xD BUT YAY, you got the game! I'm no pro yet, but I can try to help you any time you need. And you (and anyone else) are welcome to the codes I have stored...I feel like I should make a small page on my site or something with the codes I have stored and pictures of the dogs...the squirrels I definitely have saved x'DD

I love your latest darker dogs!! So many things to discover!! (I still haven't tried it yet!) I'm no pro yet, but I can try to help you any time you need. And you (and anyone else) are welcome to the codes I have stored...I feel like I should make a small page on my site or something with the codes I have stored and pictures of the dogs...the squirrels I definitely have saved x'DD Thank you! I think that would be a FABULOUS idea to share your codes with a pic of your saved dogs! You can even create a thread just for that here in the Gaming board if you like, whichever you prefer! (maybe others can share their codes, too!) I'll be trying to breed things on my own at first, and then probably go nuts with your squirrels and other special dogs!

Oh my gosh, the squirrels! And TWO heads! Didn't know that was possible. XD And Lavender is a perfect mix of purples...so pretty! I think the code-sharing post is a great idea! Like Ratqueen, I'll probably attempt breeding things on my own at first (when...I get around to playing, that is. I have family coming soon, so I really shouldn't be getting into a new game quiiite yet...there are things I still need to do to get ready. XP )

Good idea! It took most of my free time today to gather images, names, codes and write everything out...but I did it and posted a thread! ^^ I totally get you both on wanting to try your hand at breeding yourselves first...I'd be the same way! No worries, my codes aren't going anywhere! ^^ I'm excited to hear about your adventures with the game though, when you guys get a chance!

Thank you for all the codes, CatCreature, that was a lot of work! That’s going to be very useful and I can’t wait to try some of your dogs and squirrels! I finally started playing yesterday, but haven’t gotten any interesting dogs so far — they’re still all the same color and similar shape, even though I fed them all kinds of stuff. I will post screenshots when I get something a little more interesting.

And I keep adding more as I go, if there's some more I want to save/share! I don't know if ANY of those will interest anybody...there's a lot of plain ones. x'DDD But those are my personal favorites and having them out there in a way seems to keep them alive, so even if it's only for my own personal use, I'm glad to have them available! A few tips regarding feeding! Once they hit Adult, they stop changing because they're done growing. They'll die after that stage unless you feed them a core, but they don't go into a cocoon anymore...so the changing is complete for Adults. All the feeding and attempting to alter their eventual looks has to be in the stages before that. (Although, continuing to feed them certain things as Adults influences their offspring, I believe!) I think you can also delay their evolutions. I kept making them go into cocoons as soon as the option popped up, but then I realized I can just...wait. xD With my black furred pups, they didn't have enough of the mutation I wanted when they were able to age up, so I would simply not let them until I fed them an amount I was satisfied with. Only then I'd age them up, and repeat the process until they were adults...then I realized I needed to continue even after that point, if I planned to breed those traits down. xD I'm excited to see what you get though! I've only seen results from me and my sister so I'm eager to see some more pictures!!

Anyone still playing this? I'm thinking of getting it for myself as a little reward (finally) but something that's kept me from buying it is that I don't know how much you can do with the dogz. How does the level of interaction compare to petz? While I like the genetics element, my favourite thing in games like these is just playing with the pets themselves

I still play it from time to time! I do think, unfortunately, there's a bit less interaction between you and the dogs and a bit less to do with regards to that. You can praise/scold behaviors to train them to do things more or less often, and you can pet them, but otherwise it seems you mostly do a lot of watching. They do cute/funny things such as dancing to music (mine seem to be blindly obsessed...), carry around toys, build themselves little dens, and will sometimes latch onto each other and try to drag the other around. x'DD
I guess in that aspect it can get a little boring or impersonal sometimes...but I still enjoy it! They're comical just to watch, and the breeding challenges are fun!

CatCreature thank you! I don't mind it if they're fun to watch, I was just worried the only thing about the game would be breeding and/or that they'd feel bland in their behaviour. It sounds ok, then!

lobb I've only played it about 5-6 hours total so far (apparently not enough time to breed anything interesting, or I'm really bad at it). I actually think that it's a little boring and repetitive. There's isn't much to do besides feeding them specific foods to obtain certain physical traits when breeding, cleaning their habitats, and watching them walk around or play. They're kinda fun to watch, and breeding is fun, but that's about it. I hope I get back into it a little bit more at some point, but every time I'm thinking about playing it I'm like "meh". Maybe if I was further along, with some more interesting dogs and specific goals (like Lily's squirrels, which I think are epic!), that would spark my interest.

I haven't tried it but i remember seeing it on a gamedev forum before it was even released or anything and remember thinking how interesting it seemed. They chose some funky looking shapes for a dog.
