When I bring them out into a room, some of my petz instantly turn around and try to go back through the little door (crashing their heads in the process because it's locked).
This isn't a problem, I'm just curious if this is a common thing or if some of my petz are being weird.
(Btw, this isn't a new thing, some petz over the years have done this occasionally, I've just noticed in the past couple of days that a lot of them are doing this now.)

If they're doing it a lot, is it possible you're either away from the computer and not moving your mouse...or their neglect is high? I think if you leave the computer unattended longer, they get bored and leave. Or if their neglect is high, I think that tends to make them prefer to avoid you.

(Thought I would include your reply to this. Might help you too.) If they're doing it a lot, is it possible you're either away from the computer and not moving your mouse...or their neglect is high? I think if you leave the computer unattended longer, they get bored and leave. Or if their neglect is high, I think that tends to make them prefer to avoid you. That makes total sense and what I thought might be the issue. As you know, I haven't been playing Petz5 for a while, so on PetzA their neglect was about halfway along the bar. I'm playing with them all again now and sorting that out so they feel loved again. I feel guilty for not playing the game for so long!

Don't worry, stuff happens! If you think of it, maybe try moving them out of the game next time if you expect to be away for a period of time...they won't build neglect that way! ^^ But I'm sure you can get things back on track!

None of my petz are neglected though but they still run into the door and then bark. It kind of looks like they are trying to knock things out of the case??? If it's a different animation maybe mine are doing it for a different reason.

That's a good idea. I don't know how or when exactly they gain neglect. I thought it was if you had the game open and you didn't bring them out into a room to play with them. Mine try to knock things out the case sometimes but have never crashed into the door because of it. Yours must have a completely different reason for doing that, yeah. I've not experienced that one before!

Neglect goes up by 10 once a day if the game is opened but the petz aren't actively petted, *or* if they're squirted with the squirty bottle (1 at a time). A petz day resets at your computer's midnight, but it can get messed up if you have the game open at that time (the devs of course expected their consumer base to be in bed long before then).

Ah, okay. Thanks for explaining that. I sometimes don't close my game and just minimise it instead while I'm sleeping. I'll stop doing that!
