Where would I find my babyz saved game? Apologies in advance for this post, I don’t really know what I am talking about and I’m very confused XD I downloaded babyz and got it working with the petsA patch yesterday. I also downloaded petz 5 which is working fine. Every time I start up babyz I get a new adopted baby. My old baby saved, but I don’t want so many babyz! If I delete a baby from the adopted babyz folder it gives me 1 more baby then stops. I don’t know where all my babyz are saved now. I would like to delete some but am very confused. My adopted babyz folder is empty, but I have like 5 babyz.

I think the best place to ask this would be the Babyz community forum: milkbc.proboards.comThis is really weird, could they be in the grandma's house folder? Are you looking in the right place? You could always try clearing the registry (look up registry editor in the searcbar for Windows 10, or whichever version you're using, find the PFM folder in there and delete the Babyz subfolder) and seeing if that helps. Where did you install your game? Are you running it as admin? I think the game might have similar permissions issues as Petz.

Running as admin fixes a lot of issues. That’s always my first question.

Thank you for responding. Perfect I was looking for a babyz forum, I will post it there thank you. I don’t seem to have a grandmas house folder. I have the following folders: Adopted Babyz, Help and Resource. I made my own Unadopted Babyz folder but this made no difference. I think I’m running as admin as I am the computer admin, the game is otherwise running absolutely fine! I can still send babyz to grandmas house. The save files don’t seem to be anywhere

I installed the game in program86/mindscape/babyz I’m guessing you’re using a Windows 10 or 11 computer? Normally installing the game in Program Files (and Program Files (x86) ) can cause issues, so it’s strongly recommended to install the game elsewhere, such as My Documents, or a custom folder on your desktop. You’ll also need to run it as administrator. Right click on the babyz icon and select properties. Choose Advanced… then check the box that says Run as administrator. Click okay. Then choose the compatibility tab. At the bottom it may also have a check box for Run this program as an administrator. Check it. Click okay and open your game and see.

Moving this to the help desk since it's non-petz but also technical.

Running as admin isn't just being logged into the admin account on your computer, it's an option you can pick like Kel described. And I agree with the suggestion of installing it in your Documents folder or elsewhere. I don't know why petz/babyz games have issues with being installed in Programs but it does happen.
Can you manually create a Grandma's House folder, open the game, send the babies to stay with grandma, etc. and see if they end up in there?
