I'm off work for the next 9 days on holiday so ill be free a lot of the time for gamessss.
Oh!! Make sure to keep an eye on your Steam Chat then! I will message you if I see you online and available, and maybe we can play a little golf or TTS together! That would be EPIC to play live with you for the first time in so many years I've known you!
The most likely times for me would be around 17:00 - 17:30 your time, or around 21:00 your time!
Regarding voice chat: for TTS I use its own in-game voice chat, and for golf I use the Steam voice Chat.

Soo I picked up Moving Out for free on Epic! I also purchased Tick Tock: A Tale for Two; thank you arie for suggesting that one! I purchased it on the iphone however, though I think cross-platform play is possible? But I may play today to see what I think. Yep, cross-platform is totally possible! You can both play on different devices, or even be completely offline - as long as you can talk to each other. There are two paths (player A & player B) and each contains hints for the other as you progress that you have (verbally) to relay to the other player. So unfortunately it's not a game you can play alone.

So I played Tick Tock: A Tale for Two and I finally played Escape Simulator!
With Tick Tock, I bought it for $3 on the Apple store since my mom and I have a family account (this way she could play without having to pay as well). We played it weeks ago and I enjoyed it! I think it took us a bit over an hour to play. I would personally recommend it on sale.
I think we got stuck on 2 puzzles: one I'm not sure why we got stuck on and another where I think we did it right? Then re-did it based on a guide but it's what we did the first time...so idk. Maybe we got one thing wrong. Finally there was one other puzzle that was definitely a lot of work lol. It helped to be sitting next to each other (though we weren't looking at each other's screens) but it was time-consuming. Let's just say...you had to know what button to press based on what the game told you to press. Each button had an image on it. There were 3 types of hints; 2 made sense but we absolutely could not figure out how to decode the 3rd type of hint.
The bad steam reviews for this game are weird imo and I don't agree with them. They're not spoilered on steam but they're about the ending so I will spoiler them here (since I will get more specific). Basically, people were disappointed with the ending and imo while the game was not groundbreaking with some amazing ending, I still liked it. If you're okay with a short puzzle game I think it's good.
Okay so the game's plot is about stealing peoples' time. The ending shows you how long you took to play the game and says the character from the story has stolen that time from you. So...yeah. I like that you failed I supposed to stop them from stealing time, and you're just one of many to have your time (part of your life?) stolen. It's not some fantabulous ending where the intricacies of stealing time are explained. I think one person said the game was a waste of time and leaves you feeling idk, unsatisfied. And here's the thing, imo there are things that are made to be this way, like long jokes that specifically make you mad at the ending. And then there's the opposite, TV shows that never deliver on promises or finish storylines so you are understandably mad that nothing was explained and your time spent watching feels wasted. I don't think this was that. Instead of stopping someone from stealing time, you were simply a victim. I thought it was interesting for a short game but I didn't put much weight on it. It's not like the game failed to wrap up storylines or something.
ANYWAY, I loved Escape Simulator! I love that you can interact with basically everything, which includes breaking stuff. And there are hidden things to find in each scene. I've even found items (like a shovel or hammer) that I didn't use to escape, so it left me wondering if they're used to find one of the hidden items.
The game is fun and not too easy or too hard. My mom and I played it together and never really got stuck. If we did it was on little stuff. Though I will say the hint feature could be better. The Room knew where you were and what you did so the hints told you what to do next. With Escape Simulator, the hints may tell you to do something you already did. Like maybe you need to find a machine piece to put in a machine. Then you put the code into the machine. So you find the piece but need help with the code. You get a hint but it tells you to find the piece...so a little frustrating when you've already done that.
Either way the rooms are well done and look good. They're unique and I've enjoyed them a lot! They're not super time consuming but players can make their own rooms as well, so I think the game is a good deal since it doesn't really end then! Since the creation of the game, they've added a Christmas room and one more themed room set, I believe (originally there were 3 sets of rooms I think).
Edit: okay so I’ve started on the 5 space themed rooms in escape sim and I will say I find them harder than the others so far.
