aka petz with 100 show points
This thread is to celebrate petz who have attained the WCh. showing title, and to follow the progress of those working towards it.
Myself I have only one WCh. currently, this pretty Vashet ♡ She was bred by Salem and has exactly 100 points!
My next closest pet is Phaedra with 89 points. I'm pretty new to poodle showing so it's been more of a challenge.
This guy Osgiliath bred by Bard, I'm actually raising naturally but just snapped a pose for him before aging him down. He has 47 points already! So no surprise but I'm planning to do a WCh litter with him and Vashet one day. Mahal was my first dog I showed when I rediscovered the PC in May 2020, so he seems like a good candidate! He has 86 points.
Then I have a rotation of dalmatians slowly creepin' up. Becquerel (bred by Bunni, son of Bentley), Nyx (bred by Willow), Malachi, Nepenthe(But WCh for the dalmatians is lower priority for now because I am first working on getting a bunch of SCGh to UGCh)
So how about you? Show us your WCh petz or the ones you're hoping to get there!

My Current World Champions: Makoto, FK's Shadow in the Mist (111 pts) Achieved World Champion on Aug 27, 2021! Bred by me, one of my first show petz from 2003. One of my oldest and favorite dalis.
Cicero, Rho/FK’s Whispers in the Dark (109 pts) Bred by Rho, love his bob tail! Just seemed like such a nice looking dog to show. Name is a Skyrim reference
Pretty much all my show petz wwill be shown to World Champion, but here are the current up-and-comers I briefly did some showing back in 2003-2004 with a few petz but never dedicated too much time and energy to it, something I would like to change - Nyle, Rho/FK’s Passionate Champion (67 pts, UGCh) Another great looking dali bred by Rho.. Rho, you just breed a lot of nice looking showable dalis haha - Malawi, FK's Egyptian Sun (84 pts, UGCh) Bred by me, he is a NIB, purebred Dali from my lines, he's my favorite one from that line <3 -Melody, FK's Sing a Melody (55 pts, UGCh) Bred by me, another 2003 pet and Makoto's official mate <3
- Frisky, FK's Simply Sensational (30 pts, SGCh) Bred by me, another oldie with a couple shows under his belt from 2004 - Jamie, Cargo/FK’s Mac Dubh (25 pts, MGCh) Bred by Amanda@Cargo, quickly becoming one of my favorite bred catz <3 Named after Jamie from Outlander, "Mac Dubh" means Son of Black. - Delphinium, Swallowtail/FK’s Mossballz in Bloom (92 pts, RWCh) Hexed by Silverfish, one of my favorite hexed catz! Hopefully he'll be allowed in most shows, because I would really love to get him to WCh! - Sprinkle, FK’s Rainbow Sprinkle Ice Cream (52 pts, UGCh) Hexed by Me. I kept a few of my own Ice Cream Oshies and when I took them all out to decide if I should show one, Sprinkle kept running around and posing randomly - I took that as a sign that she wanted to be in the Show Ring lol Updates; Aug 27 - Makoto made WCh!! Woo! Aug 30 - Updated show points/titles Sep 12 - Cicero achieved WCh!

This is an impressive objective - good luck to all of those aiming for it (and well done to those already there!).
It's not something I've yet decided to do with my own petz, partly because I wasn't sure what the general opinion was on constantly showing the same petz instead of retiring them (though by now I've realised that even though most don't do it, it's not frowned upon) but mostly because I have an ever-increasing horde of dogs waiting to be shown and I always get excited and wanna show my newbies, lol. But perhaps at some point it would be nice to bring my faves out of retirement or something!
I actually went and sorted my Airtable database by points to see which petz are my highest scoring; the top dog is actually one Rho bred:
Rana, aka Rho/Zan's Nothing Fades Like the Light 74 points
So she's not actually that far off 100 and now I'm tempted!
I wasn't aiming for her to reach that many points, I think I just had a small show team back then and lost track of how many shows she'd been entered in.

zan Yes!! Something similar happened with Vashet, I realized she had 60-something points and just thought, hey might as well!! 😂

zan, my thought was if you have a few petz in rotation then you're not entering the same pet in *every* show so it mixes it up a little and judges won't get bored of seeing your one pet so quickly haha Might take a bit longer to get the title since they aren't entering every show, but maybe a bit more considerate to judges? I mean I've never heard anything to suggest only entering a single pet to achieve a certain title is frowned upon, or that anyone cares at all really, but I could be wrong lol

Megan@Xoops ❄️ yes that's a very good point, and the main reason I tend to have quite a large active show team anyway; it gives a bit of variety in shows so judges aren't always seeing the same petz! Though you're right, I don't think anyone really minds and I haven't seen rules against it - it doesn't bother me when I'm judging either. But I really like the suggestion to kind of treat it as a long-term goal and just enter each pet in a few shows here and there and let them slowly accumulate the points.
I've started to think about aiming for WCh. with petz that I've bred myself that are special to me in some way, perhaps ones where I've put in a lot of work on their line to breed them or something. I'll keep considering it!

This is really impressive! Congrats to those who have achieved it and good luck to those who are aiming for it.
I've stopped showing Raffles after he got his SGCh title but I might start entering again, just giving him less priority and showing other pets as well -- not just because of the judges but for my own sanity as well, since he's really hard to pose. It seems a shame to stop entirely after having just started to get the hang of it. This thread has really inspired me and now I'm surprised, I never thought I'd enter him into pose shows, let alone aim that high in the (very) long run.
Out of curiosity, how do you do it? Do you take new pictures regularly or just whenever the mood strikes? It sounds like it would be really hard to constantly get new ones, plus for more experienced people you seem to consistently get good pictures where there might not be a lot of room for improvement. I've always wondered how people even accomplish this.

Wow, congrats to everyone who's achieved this/is working towards this! I only have one pet who has over 50 points, and fittingly enough it's my very first show petz (I probably started showing him back in 1999 or 2000!), Star, who has 55 points. I've sometimes thought about taking him out of retirement and getting him up to WCh, but like zan , I have so many other petz that I want to enter into shows and get them to SGCh. Also there seem to be fewer catz shows than dogz shows lately, so I have to be even more choosy about which catz I show. He is a trickster, however, so he is still actively competing in trick shows. I can't speak for everyone else, but I personally don't retake show pose pics unless I have one who's only ever scoring 3rd or HM and I want to try to get a better pic (and sometimes not even then). I don't know if it's different when aiming for a higher number of points than just the 30 to get to SGCh, though. As a judge, though, I certainly don't mind seeing the same pet with the same pose multiple times. (And of course you have to retake pics every month for petz shown at PKC, but that's a whole nother ball game right there lol)

Not catz shows, but I've got pets I want to enter in frisbee, trick, etc. shows and they've been slow lately. Hopefully they'll pick up again soon. I also had no idea there were fewer catz shows, that's weird! Catz need more stuff to do!
Thanks for the explanation! I'm not on PKC (I don't think most of my pets are PKC-approved) so hopefully it's not an issue if there are any months when I don't have the time to get a good pose picture. Good to know about it from a judging perspective, too! I don't think I'd mind either since it's rarely, if ever, the same exact set of pets entering a show.

Two more for the books! Mahal now has 100 points, starting his show career May 23, 2020 with an HM and finishing it August 31, 2021 with a BIS
Osgiliath's career was a touch quicker-- he made it to WCh. in under three weeks of showing! So stay tuned for a WCh siamese litter!

Cicero made it to World Champion! It was actually a week or so ago but I hadn't gotten around to posting about it yet. He is officially retired now, save for some outstanding shows he was entered in. Makoto was unretired haha He is now participating in Agility and Frisbee shows. Edit Sep 13: And Delphinium has now reached WCh as of today! He is currently working on Mousing and Agility titles too though. Edit Sep 19: Malawi has reached World Champion as of today!
