I'm guessing this is a problem in the games and has probably been brought up many, many times, but instead of asking for a possible solution that likely isn't even there, does anyone even bother feeding their petterz from the bowls, or do you just give them treats to feed them (or use PetzA)? Because they just end up pushing the bowls further down the screen, or once they finally get to feed/drink from them, they'll push them again once they move their heads up.
It doesn't seem to happen in Petz 4 as much as it does in Petz 5, so I'm guessing it's more of an issue with the latter.
I know they're not real animals and there are other means to bring their hunger down, but it really does frustrate me for them lol. They're trying so hard to have a meal and the bowls move away from them.

this is a glitch in the physics engine in games past petz 3. in petz 4 it's easiest to feed them in the playpen, since things don't bounce there like they do elsewhere (apparently the physics in the playpen are different). in petz 5 you can make it easier by making a custom playscene that's entirely floor and setting the bounciness to 0, but there will still be some issues because the glitch causes everything to be overly bouncy even with the bounciness set at 0.

What i've noticed years ago when i used to play almost exclusively Petz 5, if you're careful to make sure the pet is coming from the top, and not the sides/bottom of the screen, the bowl has a higher chance to not be tipped over. From the sides, it's almost an 100% chance or getting tipped. Also, of course, take away all distractions. Only feed one pet at once, with a minimal amount of items around the room. I think i recall the absolute annoyance of having to avoid bug traps because they would just not eat properly with them around the room lol, and then getting the roaches, which would again distract them and they wouldn't eat. Also if i remember right (i'm not that sure), larger bowls don't get tipped as easily. I can't remember exactly what it was, but i believe with some bowls, when petz jump to align themselves with them, if they go too low, the bowls bounce. so it was large bowls or tall bowls i guess.
