I’m curious to know what everybody’s using to make their website graphics, avatars/signatures, stamps, etc. Also, is it free or not?
So far, I’ve just been using an older program called PhotoImpact that basically has most of PhotoShop’s features, but not the price. I’m still using it because I know it like the back of my hand, but would like to try something else.
Thanks!

I use Paint Shop Pro 7 & Photoshop! Photoshop I needed for school when I was taking a graphic design course, but I still have it collecting dust. More so I use PSP 7 since it's basically a rudimentary form of it and so easy for me to use (plus it was free). It also has most of Photoshop's features, obviously not to the same extent, but it's something.

My sister and I only ever use Paint.net xD Nothing overly fancy, and it's free (or it was before, I imagine it still is though!) to download. I don't know a ton about making professional looking graphics, and I get overwhelmed pretty easy, but Paint.net felt simple enough for me to understand and remember how things worked...so it's just been what I use. I think my sister tried using a more professional type of paint program before, but she went back to Paint.net and really seems to prefer it, and has done some amazing art with it! ^^

I use Paint Shop Pro 7 as it loads quickly and is easy to use for the simple things I want to do like make transparent backgrounds etc. Bought it years ago and it still works fine on Windows 10.
I do have access to Photoshop but it takes a bit longer to load and feels like overkill just for editing jpegs quickly.

I use GIMP and personally, I really like it. It does take a bit of getting used to, but they do have a website which explains how to use every feature in simple terms. As Luna said, it's free ^_^
I have tried Krita as well. It's a bit more like Photoshop than GIMP is, and it's free too, but I think it's more geared towards painting?
Hope that helps some (:

I use GIMP. It is free. Be forewarned though. It was originally designed for Linux so it feels off in spots. There are lots of tutorials on you tube. Photoshop tutorials also work sometimes. It will use a lot of Photoshop brushes as well. I still do a lot of pixel art in MS paint though. Old habits die hard. XD

I use Photoshop for graphics, but I used Photopea when I didn't have it. (I loved it for a while but then the ads got so bad it was basically unusable- but that was over a year ago so I'm not sure what it's like now) I also use Aseprite for anything with the in-game palette. I have the petz colors set as my default palette and it's so useful for making toyz sprites or textures to know/control how it will look in-game!

I use GIMP because I'm too broke and lazy to get Photoshop. I don't especially love it, though. Like Amanda, I also use a separate editor for pixel/sprite type things. I used to use Aseprite as well but then it became paid and their site is confusing, so I've been trying different onces since I switched to my current computer.

I use Paint Shop Pro 7 because I've had it forever and know it really well... But I also have GIMP installed and it is a much more up-to-date program so if I want to do anything more 'advanced' and can't find a way in PSP7, I look up tutorials and do it in GIMP. It's pretty rare though... I use it more for editing photos than graphics/petz stuff. I think it's funny how many of us use PSP7!

I use Paint Shop Pro 8. I used 6 for years.
I haven't made any graphics for a web site in ages, but it was always a favorite thing of mine to do. PSP has so many numerous options for decorating, layering, making transparent images, etc... I even dabbled in creating tubes and brushes for use in the program.
I also dabbled with GIMP a bit.
