I've been trying to book an appointment for my partner this past week but the system is kind of hilarious if you need to be local. We don't drive so would like a local appointment instead of going on public transport, especially as the distances they want us to travel would end up quite pricey. Just found one for a local pharmacy but no slots there for the second dose so it suggested an alternative that's only 31 miles away, which yeah sure it probably is only 31 miles if you measure in a direct line across the sea. XD
Seems a bit strange to me seeing that you have to book both appointments at the same time that you don't just automatically get a matching appointment 12 weeks later.

Nope I'm still waiting for my turn. I can't wait to get it over with.

Europe is being terrible at this for once. I'm always surprised how many Americans are already vaccinated, well done USA

They must have opened up some new slots because I finally managed to get us both booked in to the same place for both appointments. Only down the road as well so we can walk it. Bit nervous about possible side effects because I need to do something the day after and want to be firing on all cylinders but we'll have to see. Most people seem to barely notice any side effects so fingers crossed. Better that than getting Covid19 though.

Europe is being terrible at this for once. I'm always surprised how many Americans are already vaccinated, well done USA I'm surprised about that too! I also can't believe how easy they made it, and free on top of that. What is sad now is that there is plenty of availability here in the US, but so many people hesitating or backing off (like not getting their second shot), or flat out refusing to vaccinate. I don't get it. How else are we going to end this pandemic? It's not like it's going to wane off by itself, quite the contrary.

For the first dose, I didn't have any side effects. Besides the slightly sore arm, maybe a tiny bit of body aches, but it was gone within hours. You'll probably be fine the next day for your first shot!
I got my second shot 3 days ago. About 12 hours after the vaccine, I started having light body aches. As I laid in bed that first night, I had the chills -- my body was shaking like I was very cold, even though I wasn't that cold. That was weird, but only lasted a couple hours. Next day, my body was aching a little worse than the first day and I had a light headache, but then I was fine the third day (today). No more aches or anything. It was about the same for my partner as far as body aches, but he didn't have the chills or headache like I did.
Anyway, like you said, much better than getting and spreading Covid!!

Changed my answer to fully vaccinated! I got lucky and had basically no side effects after the second dose. I had a headache but I get those a lot anyway so idk if it was related.

Fully vaccinated now. They sent a message saying I could bring my appointment forward by two weeks so all done now. So far no soreness in the arm but it's only been a couple of hours so we'll see what happens.
Edited to add (15/07/21): The spot on my arm where I had the vaccine is slightly red and looks like a gnat bite and itches about the same. Thought maybe I had coincidentally been bitten in the same place but Googled and apparently that is a thing that can happen. (Didn't happen the first time, was just sore as heck that time.)
Also apparently sometimes people develop a mild rash on the body about a week later which gave me a flashback as I had this weird rash a few weeks back. Not sure of the timing or if it was after my first jab but I had these small raised red/pink patches that looked a bit like hives on my torso that were not overly itchy. I wondered if I was coming down with something the way they were popping up but they eventually went away and I forgot about it until I read that just now. So yeah, bodies are weird. It's not supposed to mean anything bad from what I've read. Just thought it was interesting.

Finally got my second. Both times all I had was a sore arm, but I think the first was more sore than the second. I'm glad they seem to be more efficient at the sites. The first time I was there for 2 hours after my appointment time but this time I got out in under an hour.
I'm mainly happy to have the vaccine passport to travel again. I miss not being home

Got my vaccine booster shot today! It was quick and easy and painless and free! AND I was able to do it really close to my place this time (just a 2-minute drive), so that was super convenient.

I ended up being vaccinated a while back. The side effects were terrible for me. I'm still dealing with feeling exhausted all the time, which apparently is not unheard of, but it's so frustrating! I'm glad to be vaccinated, though, it makes me feel better about my safety and my family's.
