Does anyone here use Neocities? After editing a page on my site I hit "view" to see how it looks and it doesn't show the changes I made. For example, if I add a word and hit view, it doesn't show the new word. Also, even when I save my changes and then visit my site (by typing the url in the search bar), I still can't see the changes. But the thing is, I know they successfully saved because when I go to my site on my phone, I can see the changes! But on Firefox and Chrome on my computer, my site just doesn't update. I tried a hard refresh of the cache by hitting crtl+shift+r as neocities suggested but that didn't help. Do I just need to wait a long while to see the changes? Or am I missing something obvious? TL;DR When making changes to my neocities site, I can't see the changes as I'm working when I hit "view" or when I check my site on firefox/chrome. I can see the things I've changed/added/removed on my phone though. Thanks in advance! Hope that made sense lol.
Edit: I’m mostly worried about how hitting “view” doesn’t show the changes I’ve made because I don’t want to unknowingly mess something up and then close out of editing. Edit 2: I forgot to ask my second question lol. Does anyone know how to embed a chatbox into neocities (specifically cbox)?

Have you tried a ~regular hard refresh with ctrl+F5?

I just tried it on Chrome and unfortunately it doesn't seem to do anything ): I also believe I cleared my cookies last night and that didn't help. I may try restarting my computer later to see if that works lol.
Also thank you for the suggestion!

Are you using your phones internet (cellular) to look at the site instead of the internet account your computer is using (WI-fi)?
It may be a server between you and Neo cities not refreshing right, causing lag on the updates showing. It was more common a few years ago, not as much now.

I’m using wifi on my phone (not cellular) to check my neocities site. So same network as my computer. I’ll try checking again on my laptop though!
I didn’t add it in the first post but I edited my site and the first edits actually showed up for me on chrome, but after that I couldn’t see any subsequent changes.

I don't know much about Neocitites but if you're opening the site in a Private session and you're still not seeing the changes it's probably not your cache.
I searched around a bit and the only thing I could find that had the same issue as you, the person who answered deleted the answer. But basing on the last thing you said ("the first edits actually showed up for me on chrome, but after that I couldn’t see any subsequent changes") and the reply to the deleted answer ("I've been doing all my edits in neocities itself I'll slow my roll with the edits and let it simmer before I check.") wondering if it has something to do with how fast/much you're submitting the changes.
I have paid hosting and when I'm changing things instantly after another for a long time it either kills the site for me only, or I have to relog to see the changes. My problem is usually because I use a VPN but Neocitites being free it might have an auto, oversensitive protection.
For the cbox, if I remember that one right it gives you the code to paste in any webapage and it'll show up

Thanks so much for looking into this for me midnightwolf! I found someone on reddit who had a similar issue but it doesn’t seem like there was a conclusive solution on that thread either. And interesting, it may be that I made a few too many changes all in one day that caused it then. Before I saved any changes though I clicked “view” to see how things would look, but even that didn’t show any of my edits which is the weird part. I’ll try to keep in mind how much/fast I edit things and see if that helps. (Also just quickly adding that I mentioned above that I’d see if restarting my computer would help and it did not).
EDIT: Literally right after sending a message to neocities about my issue I got it fixed!
So turns out to fix my site, I need to do a hard reload of the cache on each individual page. I have to open each page up in a new tab (so that it shows the page in a different format, I know there's a name for this but I've forgotten) and then do a hard cache reload. Doing it on the homepage does not work and I can't just click on the about page and clear the cache, I have to open it in a new tab and then clear it. Thank you everyone for the suggestions!
