I've never been a big shower. I find getting "good" poses more frustrating than fun... So I tend to only get decent poses rather than good ones. I've decided to just go with it. Is it okay to enter your pet into the same person's shows over again? Is it OK to use the same picture when entering the same person's show again? Should I wait a bit on entering the same pet again, and rotate in another pet?

For forum showing, you can re-use the same photo for the pet until you champ :) you are free to enter as often as you'd like, even the same person's show again.
PKC is the only showing forum that has rules about re-using photos.

Yes it’s all good! I know that for myself I feel weird entering the same pet in someone’s shows consecutively (like they’ll get bored of seeing it or something haha!) but it’s not an issue. I liked having a showing team of about six petz so that there were lots of options for who to enter! They all gain points more slowly than they would if you were only showing one or two but they all get there in the end!

Thank you so much for making this thread, stancymckatt - I have to admit that I've been getting worried about the same issues as you!

I don't think it's a problem at all! Some people only have a few petz or only show a small team at one time. I try to keep a bigger team because it's a bit of variety for those who judge a lot of shows, but I started out just showing a couple of dogz and a couple of catz, and speaking as a judge I absolutely do not mind seeing the same petz multiple times. I've also definitely had petz who didn't do so well in shows and therefore had to enter, uh, a lot before they got to retire, lol. So I wouldn't worry about it; I'd rather people were enjoying themselves and entering shows!

Seconding Mina's thoughts! Probably a big reason I never felt much like participating in showing was the notion that I'd have to take new pictres every time and it seemed like way too much trouble. Maybe I'll actually give it a go soon!

I've honestly felt like re-using the same photo with the same judges, especially if those photos placed, seems like cheating, so I personally don't do that. But since it's okay to do that in regular pose shows, then cool, but I just don't like doing it cause it feels wrong to me. lol

I post the same pic in every show I can find My petz are awesome so any judge is blessed to see them multiple times B)
Nah jokes, I just do it because I’m pretty sure most people do. It’s hard to keep track and with a minimal amount of show hosts these days it would take forever

LOL Sasha
I'm with Kel a little bit. I don't like to re-enter the same pose in the same person's show. BUT I'm also with Stancy too, because getting some of my calicos in a decent pose can be very difficult. And forget about posing dogz >.> why are they so annoying?!

^ I definitely get that. It can be really frustrating and time consuming to get a new pose pic for the same person’s new show, but on the other hand I like to look at it as getting in more practice.

Personally, I try to avoid entering the same pet in consecutive shows of an individual judge (although I'm sure I've failed at that before, sorry about that lol). That said, speaking as a judge, I don't mind at all to see the same pose in multiple shows that I judge. I mean, if I ever got the same five petz/poses in two shows back-to-back I might raise my eyebrow a bit, but that hasn't happened yet lol.

Kel I get wanting to do a new pose everytime. That's what I'd like to do, but there's no time... And No will to put my catz though 10 hours of posing to get a really good pose. (Spekles hates posing, and is a trickster. Her current picture took almost 10 hours over several days to get the tail.) commander I get busy, and I skip days... So I doubt you'll get my petz back to back very often. XD Recording the results into my showroom thread can take up to an hour between here, and WW, and whatever I get distracted with. So I have to plan around it depending on how busy the next day looks.

stancymckatt ^ Oh certainly! Like I’d said, I definitely get it, and that it’s okay to do in regular pose shows (non-pkc). It’s just something I personally feel uncomfortable with despite not being against the rules, so won’t do myself. And for me what makes it a bit easier is when I have petz who are very difficult to pose, or hate posing as you phrased it lol, then I tend to make the decision to not make them into show petz. It’s not what they’re good at/they hate doing it so I don’t put them in the ring. Using your example though, if they were more of a trickster and refused to pose then I’d put them in trickster shows instead of pose shows. I know they exist but unfortunately they’re just not as commonly seen or held (I think).

I do the same, and I feel the same about it I would never be able to participate in shows if I had to take different pics. The only time I would take a new pic is if I wasn't happy with a particular pose.
It's really nice to see so many people entering shows
