Aaaaaaaa I can't believe I'm finally posting this, I've been SO EXCITED to show you all! *bursts*
Please say hello to the no.1 guy in my life (okay, technically no.2 since the real guy is no.1) Sumo the Syrian Hamster <3
(Cue graphic that looks like it's been made by an 8-year-old, lol)
(Plz right-click and "view image" to see it in all its glory since I was a doofus and just guessed a random size to make it, derp)
Sumo was hexed on a sheepdog base, tThe personality really suited my lil guy; he does the most tremedous big stretches and yawns when he's just woken up and he's pretty chill, sometimes when he comes out to play he just decides to snuggle down somewhere and snooze (this was not the case last night, when he was EXTRA ZOOMY and I did at one point wonder if I was going to have to say up very, very late to catch him, hahaha!)
His markings definitely took the most work, I did clear and re-work a couple of areas two or three times as I got the hang of paintballs and I omitted some markings (like those very fine white stripes above his back leg) because they just didn't translate well into the hex. He has teeeeny tiiiiiny claws on each toe and addball, uh, "torpedoes" (owners of male rodents will know what I mean, lol) Also he's mute and tongue-less because a barking, panting hamster is not normal (but I did place a pink paintball for his bottom lip because that's one of the many things I just darn love about hams <3)
I didn't really set out to make a finished anything which leaves me all the more gleeful because I've spent YEARS admiring other people's hexes and being amazed at what they can do, and I finally feel I've made something that's on a level with some of those people? :')
I'm super excited to see what I can make next and find I'm laying awake at night thinking of all sorts of ideas! I feel like I've got a much better understanding of Petz Workshop and LNZ Pro now, and I can already find myself working out how to achieve certain things in my head, however...
Before I had Sumo, I had a girl ham called Skyler who I had a very tumultous relationship with, but loved to bits and was heartbroken when she passed. And before Skyler was my robust, chunky chill soul-hamster named Hodor. And before Hodor was my first hamster named Arwen, an unbelievably sweet little girl who really I owe my interest for hamsters to. So I intend to make a little petz tribute to each and every one of my beloved friends <3 (Also they should be a lot easier to create because 1) I now have a base to work from and 2) they don't have such complicated markings, phew!)
So, there will be more hams on the way, but for now please enjoy my lil guy <3 (Real Sumo sends a squeak and a whisker-twitch to everyone, he has no idea what all this is about but I'm sure if I could explain it to him he'd think petz is cool)
(Cross-posted with Whiskerwick for maximum hamster appreciation :3)
