Yaaay!! I'm glad you guys love this second galaxy texture! ^o^ Edit: hehe commander you snuck in just as I was typing my post! I'm definitely going to plug the original texture in too and see what it looks like! (I still also want to play about with texture patches) stancymckatt oh my goodness, you have completely revolutionised my entire hexing process, those charts are fantastic thank you so much!! They're exactly what I was looking for, I'm excited to play more with internal textures from now on, they really helped with my planets! BAD_DEATH's textures are fantastic, there is so much variety and they really inspire me with hexie ideas! I would like to present the first draft of a Planetarium Dali: I'm super happy with how everything has come out! The only issue is the ring of Saturn which is very wonky haha! But it was an absolute pain trying to get lots of teeny balls to look curved and align correctly xD absolute nightmare!! I may go back into it to make it a bit neater but I also might just leave it ... :3 if anyone has any tips or knows any shortcuts for making rings I'd love to hear them!! I'm still sitting at 3 external textures required, which could be a few too many (I'm not sure what the general consensus is on external textures!) but I can't bring myself to get rid of any xD Filthy Hippie's 'firez' was so ideal for the sun, I don't think an internal texture could be better :3 I might shift some of the planets around so that they can all be clearly viewed when the pup is in pose, but otherwise I quite like how chaotic it is! Of course it all swings about like a tail would as the pup moves, but I think I prefer that to if they were stationary! I'm shocked at how quickly I got this done ...

This is such an epic hex, I love it! Can I just say as well, I love that you went as far as to get a perfect dali pose to show it off. Have you considered reducing the fuzz of the planets to 0?

It makes me happy that I could point you in the the direction of what you needed! ^_^ I was wondering if a texture like Bad Death's warm sweater, and soft watercolor, sets existed somewhere. So this solved that much. I don't know what I'd do with them yet, but eh, they're there when I figure it out. I wouldn't have thought of putting all the planets on one Dali... You have lots of skill! Your skill with making Saturn's ring boggles my mind, that must have taken a long time. It looks great!

zan omg having the planet balls at 0 fuzziness makes so much sense, I can't believe that didn't even occur to me!! Also haha the perfect pose was completely by accident which is crazy!! I hadn't noticed it until you pointed it out xD Now I bet when I get round to posing for shows, I'm not going to have that kind of luck ;.; Here are the balls at 0 and a snap with the og texture: I do want to challenge myself to try a version with no external textures at all! And I'm trying not to be bothered by that Saturn ring but ... argh xD
stancymckatt ahh I meant to put a link to BAD_DEATH's textures page in my previous post, but it sounds like you have it? I love their sweater textures so much! They'd be perfect right now for a seasonal hex! Thank you for your kind words as well, especially about Saturn's ring, as it's actually bugging me a lot but you're helping me to not be too critical hehe <3 as is everyone who posted very kind words and positive feedback!! ;.;
Next I think I'll go back to making individual planet tails! (Although it'll be a while before I attempt a Saturn haha)

I LOVE this!!! The pom tail on the first dali hahaha I've never seen this! I love where the creativity led you, and so far all these versions are soooo adorable!
So the planets being balls, this makes me think of Carolyn's Chickenz breed that "lays eggs" when you put it in the adoption basket. How fun would it be for planets to show up if you put the dali in a basket XD I'm loving your work, I really do like both body texture version <3 Can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Thank you loads guys, I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself, but your positivity really is so encouraging!! ;.; Buck Hahaha I haven't heard of this chicken, I'll have to check it out, it sounds amazing!! I wouldn't know how to even begin making something like that happen xD I didn't know you could have things appear based on being in the basket?!! Also, because I do a lot of alterations in Petz Workshop (with LNZ pro to anchor/clean up etc), my changes don't translate into the pup lnz. I can't find my planet add ballz in the pup lnz, even though they show up when the pup comes out. This isn't a major issue as the file all works fine, but I want to smooth the pup planets, as they remain fuzzy even though the adult now has smooth planets! I've tried copying and pasting the original and simpler dali pup lnz into my breedfile (in the hopes that this will automatically smooth the planets to match the adult), but I get a weird scaling issue where the eyes become bigger, and the lowest add ball on the right ear becomes too big for some reason xD So the pup comes out with this strange heavy-looking right ear and I just don't know why!! Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Once I smooth these pup planets, the file will finally be complete!! Obviously I got ahead of myself and put pics up on my site anyway hehe Thank you all again for your input, suggestions and encouragement!

So you can copy/paste from a new .pet file (adopt a pet from the updated version of the breedfile) over your current .pet and that will update everything while keeping the original pup's personality and memories in tact

Here's a screenshot to illustrate: (sorry it's massive!) The first is the pup lnz from the .pet file, which is how the pup lnz also looks in the breedfile ie no planet add ballz to access and set to 0 fuzziness. The adult LNZ meanwhile (on both the .pet and .dog files has the addballz and so I was able to set fuzziness to 0 there)

Okay, I have no idea why that's happening and no idea whether my suggestion will work, but it would at least be pretty quick to try it out, lol.
Could you add (in the breedfile not the .pet file) in the puppy lnz a fuzz override section listing out your addballs and setting the fuzz to 0? Like this but with your own numbers:
Actually, I wonder whether it has something to do with this section anyway, if it's present in the main breedfile perhaps it only applied the planet fuzz reduction to the adult that way and the base data of the file still ahs fuzzy planets, hence why they appear that way on the pup? In Petz Workshop there's a tab that says 'Apply changes to' where you can select 'Base data' or 'Overrides' and it definitely gave me issues when I forgot to change it - you'll want it set to 'Base data' every time and you need to select it each time you open the file in PW, it won't remember what you chose.
If that's the case, in LNZ Pro you should be able to delete the fuzz override section and just manually change the fuzz setting in the [Add Ball] section.
(Of course, I could be way off base with this because I'm a major beginner in hexing, but it's worth a look?)
