Thank you for the help! I think I last tried to figure out how to work that out over a year ago with MidnightWolf's help, and he said he knew how to do it, and I can't remember if he told me, or did it for me, but it didn't seem to be working, and by that point I'd already spent a lot of extra time trying to get every other part of the file doing what I wanted, and I was too worn out to try and trouble-shoot something I didn't understand any further. xD So it got put on the backburner and I've been meaning to finish it. I plan to release a breedable Scooby file for download if I can just get this one last part to do what I want...I'm so close. xD As of right now, just reading what you said makes almost no sense to me as I'm not really in my 'hexing mindframe', if you know what I mean. xD But I saved that, and once I'm in a better state of mind for hexing, I intend to look at that a little better and try it, if it's different from what we were doing. Can I PM you sometime if I need further help on it? ^^ I really appreciate that, and I hope that will inspire me to get back into it with that file. I'm eager to release it, and work on a paintball design for my Fuzzle Mutt file that will hopefully mutate and transfer down the lines correctly at some point! So many things to do if my creativity and motivation would just come back and stick around for a while. xD If it doesn't work it might be that you need to change the groups so that all the spots you want to mutate are a different group number from your other color groups, and then designate that group's color under [Fur Color Areas]. That's probably kind of confusing, so you could look at the Dachshund file for an example: [Fur Color Areas]
; (1-4, 5 - jowls)
;FurColorTrait ballWithBaseColor colorAreas
1 48 0, 3, 4, 5
2 21 1 ; feet and tip of tail
5 51 6 So petz have 5 possible color areas. The Dachshund uses 3 of them (1, 2, and 5 - 5 is the jowls) listed by the first number (FurColorTrait). So your purebred Dachshunds or any dog with a Dachshund coat can be up to 3 different colors (the main color, the feet/tail tip color, and the jowl color). The second number (ballWithBaseColor) is the number of the ball that has the color you want (so in this example, 21 is the left toe, which is used for the feet color). Then for the colorAreas column, these are the groups designated in the Ballz Info and Add Ball sections that will inherit that particular fur color. So you can see that for fur color trait 2, the feet and tail tip are inherited (all balls designated as group 1). So if you look under Ballz Info in the Dachshund file, you'll find that all the balls that compose the feet and tail tip are in group 1. And of course you're welcome to PM me ^^

Man I'm so late here and I'm the one who sent the petz, but I've had such a hard time formulating my thoughts because these. Are. So. Amazing! I recognize the petz I sent you, certainly, but these makeovers have breathed such new, amazing life to them. They're spectacular! The colors schemes, the softness of their features, oh I could scream! I also actually really like that there are "cheat" petz snuck in, because it gives these guys so many friends to play with! I can't wait to see more of all of them, if you plan any updates!
Sorry about the P5 breedz, though! I hadn't thought of the trouble they could cause, but it looks like you managed to deal with it fantastically, they look so great! I just want to squeeze that super plushie Golden, honestly. All of them, really, but especially that one! This was well worth the wait to get to see all these transformations!

^ I'm glad you like them! And no worries about the P5 breeds...I was happy to receive them too! <3 Especially after seeing just how needy and lovey Tanase is, he's a sweetheart! Sakura sent me more recently too, so they're going to have even more friends whenever my creativity can come back and help me hex. xD One of them is another Golden Retriever...I plan to use the advice I got here to alter the shape slightly, and give him his own variation, if you will. Of course I'm hoping Tanase will like him, but probably not! xDD

First I just want to say that I caught up on all the update threads that you wrote but I didn't have time to write in them all. I love reading all the info and adoption processes of your petz <3 All the graphics you do are so lovely! I love meeting everyone :) I see you write random adventures in Random Petz Pix (I love petz stories) and I'm such a sucker for a bunch of separate threads so I can comment on things months later haha xD so I love these threads you do! Alright I am specifically gonna ask about your discussion on Ruvida, Tanase, and Shaboo: I think the Golden Retriever is super cute-- Lab faces are adorable too but I think the Golden has some charm. Now, my question is because I've never really played with the P5 breeds in P5, I wonder why you decided to use different personalities (SCPs)? What about the Golden and JRT are not good? I'm sorry if this discussion is stealing your thread away haha... I'm super in love with Shaboo btw. I think I might hex myself a little JRT now because of him. Tell him that.

Now, my question is because I've never really played with the P5 breeds in P5, I wonder why you decided to use different personalities (SCPs)? What about the Golden and JRT are not good? Oh, no they still have the P5 breed personalities! I was given (in this case) a German Shepherd and Golden Retriever, and I made them over look-wise...they're the same pet underneath, so they still have the German Shepherd and Golden Retriever personalities! It's simply the looks I changed to look more P4-ish, and I didn't even do that at all with the Jack Russell, which is why I dropped Shaboo from the examples given. xD It's just there's a lot of flaws with the design of some of the P5 breeds. They don't move/flow as nicely, mainly, for those two breeds. And if I simply tweaked the way they looked, I think I'd make the movement even -worse-, so I decided to take the easy way out (supposedly xD) and use P4 breed bases to recreate those two. But I was also doing a lazy job, not really aiming to make a new Golden Retriever or German Shepherd, just something a little similar to them as it wasn't meant to be a giant perfectionist hexing project. But yeah, I've nothing against P5 personalities xD They're all still in tact!

Oh I see! The JRT just kind of seemed very dachie? Are the P5 SCPs just well P4 SCPs? I should adopt and play with some P5 breeds and see but I wanted to know your opinion.

Thor To be honest I haven't really sat down and played with P5 specific breeds long enough to know for sure. I mostly played P5 when I was a kid, then upon joining the PC I switched back to P4, and have been kept busy with that end of mixies more often than not. If memory is correct, I think they're a little of both? I think they could have been P4 personalities that were tweaked to have a few changes. Because while there are some similarities (like the Dachshund traits you see with Shaboo!) there are some differences too. For example, the Papillon. It's more 'scaredy' than any other dog breed. It walks with a shiver, and certain toys and such make it run around in a panic. Very Oshie like, actually! A while back, Relo made some 'altered personality' Petz and let people download them to experiment with. (Come to think of it, I should host those, as she gave them out for free, and people always ask about them, yet I don't think anyone is hosting them.) One of the traits she managed to bring out in a Great Dane was a shivery walk, much like what the Papillon does. So, it -could- be that Ubisoft simply did what Relo did, and tweaked some traits into the original breeds. Or they could be entirely re-created. Either way, I don't think the differences are drastic enough to really notice much...at least I hadn't noticed much difference! I actually think it might be interesting to post and ask about this in the Petz Talk board, because I'm sure somebody else has better info on this, and now I'm curious about what I might not know about P5 breeds! I need to get in there and interact with some of those oldies a little more. Come to think of it, maybe the idea of them being entirely new isn't true, since they seem to carry their P5 traits backwards into P4 with PetFlux...so I guess whatever makes them unique was available from the beginning!
