Finally my third planned showoff is here, and with this I'm back on 'indefinite showoff break' because wow. How did I MANAGE making threads like these on a regular basis before? I like showing people I enjoy the Petz they give me, that they're not just adopted and promptly foldered...that I DO play and enjoy the game! But dang, so many hours and hours go into these. My -entire- night was spent putting these pictures together...it's definitely not nearly as fun spending an entire night copy-pasting/eyeshining pictures as it is playing with the actual Petz. xD
So, I made a Wanted Ad a while ago when I was feeling creative. I've been bouncing around playing with so many different Petz from different profiles and eventually I overwhelmed myself, not even knowing who I wanted to play with anymore. So I decided to try something new.
I decided I would take in a few AC Petz from other people (thus rescuing them from the Recycle Bin, instead of obtaining my own) and, for fun, brex them a bit and raise them naturally. I would create a new profile and keep them there, pretending it was a 'new game' so to speak. I'd let them age naturally, do their own thing, and see what becomes of this profile eventually...who has babies, whether or not they get brexed too, just...let it kinda go its' own way, you know?
I only got one person to send in some AC Petz...at first I thought it wouldn't be enough to make things interesting. But between Audaxity's help, and my own 'rule-breaking' Petz sneaking in...I'm still a tad overwhelmed. x'DDD But it's still been fun!
It took me a while to reawaken my brexing creativity (I'm still doubtful how I feel about some of these), and it took longer to get the pictures ready to go...sorry for the wait, Audaxity, I know you've been eager to see the results! And here's what we've got!
---
Starting off with two of my hardest brexes...Audaxity sent over two red Danes and...I haven't done hardly any Dane brexing/hexing before. Especially with red coloring, which I wanted to keep as I happen to love the red AC Danes. <3 Auska was hexed first, and while he turned out just fine, I feel like...maybe you can tell I didn't have a clue what I was going for? xD Maybe it's just me, but he seems so...random. I don't know why I chose any of the colors/markings that I did. But I actually think he turned out pretty cool, and his accidentally slightly altered puppy shape is actually adorable! He's a crazy cheerful little guy, and I think this almost more cutesy Dane look suits his personality. xD He acts like I brought out the real him. Like he's 100% comfortable in his own skin now, somehow. xDD
Mordana...considering how I was clueless with how to brex Auska, I let Mordana sit on the side for a while, while I focused on some of the others. Afterwards I still didn't know what to do with him, so I winged it yet again. Mordana originally had a black snout patch, so I knew I wanted the red coat and black snout accent to stay. I built off that, and my love for shortie Dane mixies...and honestly I REALLY love how he came out! He's actually turning out to be a very friendly pup too! So far, he's already made two friends (quite easily!) and those two friends are friends with each other too, so we've got our first group of three friends! xD (You'll see the other two lower down in this thread...Pibble and Fazilya!)
---
Two beautiful Mutts! So Fazilya marks our first 'rule-breaker' pet. I adopted her from the AC myself. :X I was listening to some video on Youtube while brexing, I heard/saw the name Fazilya, and I thought it was -so- unique and pretty I just HAD to stick it to a pet before I lost it forever. I decided to go ahead and grab a Mutt of my own from the AC and add her to this group from Audaxity. (And wouldn't you know it, she and Kalorr hate each other. xD) I had NO IDEA what to do with her, but I wanted some kind of black Mutt. Randomly thought, it might be fun to have one with a coat similar to a Border Collie! I also made her slightly shorter and longer than the average Mutt. xD I ADORE how she turned out...simple or not, I love it! I'm either getting her out often or she's coming out often on her own. She's got a LOT of energy to burn, all the time, so perhaps a Border Collie look was fitting! xDD
Kalorr's look was random. I just started trying to think of a look I could use, or colors, and I got the briefest glimpse in my mind of a pluffy white Mutt with orange accents...and I don't know why, but I really wanted that. And I kept visulizing him as that sort of Mutt before I even brexed him...it just became his look! So that's what I did! It's not my top pick for color combos, yet...I don't know, it's still pretty and he reminds me of snow melting away into warmer seasons. I was actually playing with him just today and he kept bringing me a plush dog toy that was out in the room with him...I think he might have a favorite toy already. xDD I'll have to get a picture of him with it sometime! He's very quirky and cute, and is always trying to engage me in whatever he's doing. He does not like to play alone. xDD
---
Okay, so these three are more 'rule-breaker' Petz...although Aruing gets a pass for inspiring this whole idea in the first place. xD I was trying something with the Black and White Shorthair file a while back, and needed to adopt a cat from it to test something. Only to find I was working on the wrong copy when I adopted him...so I literally adopted an absolutely normal B+W Shorthair for absolutely zero reason. You could say his entire reason for being adopted was a mistake. Somebody else might have just deleted the file and carried on, but being one to salvage everyone possible, I kept him. I usually keep my AC Petz natural, as I'm partial to them that way...but decided to spice this guy up, just for fun. I wasn't feeling creative enough to do anything insane, and he ended up looking like this. But I really like it for some reason! As such, he came to inspire this whole idea, and it's only natural to include him in the group, as the 'founder' xD He's yet to make any friends though, but I can't blame the other Petz...he's loud, angry, wild and just...where do you even get a chance to say "Hi, wanna be friends?" xDD
Purrple was adopted and hexed to be one of my Fuzzle Catz so I could test out a few new textures I downloaded. But my creativity has been painfully bad lately, and I couldn't find any way to make them work, so I scrapped the whole project. But now I had another cat I adopted for these tests, and I had to do something with him. So I gave him about as natural a 'purple' color scheme as I could manage. xD When I was done, I felt frustrated as he seemed very uncreative (I reused paintballs, but I do that a lot, so I don't know why it bothered me this time.) and I actually planned to just adopt him out on RKC. BUT THEN somehow we wound up at the beach and had a great time, and I realized he wasn't going anywhere. xDD His name is painfully uncreative, but I guess his entire reason for being is my creative block, so I guess it works! Never hand-raised a Fuzzle before, so this will be interesting. xD
Snowy is one of my newest hexies...he's supposed to be the real life cat of my roleplay partner, despite him not playing Petz. His cat is adorable, and I wanted to try and hex it, and...this is what I got. I actually kinda love him, and he even got a similar personality in that he's always seeking out attention from me. xDD This -might- be the (or one of the) first times I've ever tried hexing something with softer looking outlines...I actually kinda love how he turned out! He's still very new, so I haven't had much time to get to know him yet.
---
More rule-breaker Petz! These two I adopted from Amanda, and some of you might have seen Twixx in one of my other recent threads! I decided he was SO FREAKING PRECIOUS I just -had- to raise him naturally. xD He's also too cute to resist as a puppy! He has the most mellow personality, and just seems so sweet, gentle and loving, he absolutely melts my heart! I love him to pieces and I'm so super glad I have him...and -him- most of all. (As in, out of his entire litter, I think he's the best!) Surely you can see why I'm nuts about him...look at that little face, oh my goodness! He's also so photogenic. Everything he does is pure cuteness and I can't get enough of him!!
I adopted Motone a little while later after being murdered by those puppy eyes...whatever secret Twixx has to set those puppy eyes from stun to kill...Motone knows how to do it too. Naturally, I thought they'd make the most adorable pair of friends! Naturally, they strongly disagreed and Twixx unleashed an evil side I didn't know he had...but I figured as much. x'DDD Motone also loves coming out to play often, and she's already started making friends elsewhere, not caring at all that Twixx isn't one of them. xDD
---
SO THESE GUYS...or, two of them at least...I'm sure all, or most of us have said or acknowledged at some point in time by now...that there were a lot of things about the P5 breeds that just didn't sit well with us. I love the German Shepherd and Golden Retriever, but even I'll admit their movement is...wonky. They're so much more awkward than they should be when they more, and just...ehh, I don't know. I thought about trying to just 'fancy up' Ruvida and Tanase, like I did with Shaboo, but I couldn't do it. I felt like anything I tried would be borked whenever they moved, and make me feel less good about the job I did. So I decided to use P4 breeds and reshape them. Now, the whole idea of this challenge is to just brex the Petz a bit, mainly give them a new coat. I'm NOT aiming to create new breeds or do intense addball work. (And I really didn't want to anyway.) So I knew these would be mild fixes.
Starting with the most difficult, Ruvida! I didn't know what base breed to work with. The only thing that had a narrow enough face was a Dachshund. So, I took a long-legged Dachshund mix I had, borrowed their lnz and put them over Ruvida. Then I spent over an hour (if not more) tweaking the shape again and again. In the end, it's not even something I'd release as a breedfile. It's obviously a reworked Dachshund mix, because that's exactly what it is. xP But...I like it better than the wonk-fest I would be dealing with otherwise. And she's still kinda cute. xD Not bad, considering the goal isn't to go over the top on these Petz' looks. I think she's long past done with tweaking though. She's very eager to come out and play, and she barely holds still, as you can see by her constant in-motion pics. xDD
Tanase was a little easier, and I like the outcome a bit better, though it's still not 100% perfect to me. Obviously I used a lab for help, and while I wanted to keep him simple to stick to his original looks...I decided a splash of white on his muzzle, and some plush for his thick furry chest would be just enough to make him pop a little more. He's also pretty dang cute as a puppy!! I have to say, out of all the Petz in this profile, Tanase is the king of asking to come out and play. xDD He shows up at the red Petz door SO MANY TIMES, it's gotten to the point I just roll my eyes, go "You again??" and he's back out playing with me all over again. xD He's very needy, though seems more interested in me than other Petz...he's kind of almost turning into another 'therapy pet' as he seems to constantly need me and it's kind of soothing somehow, to just play with him.
Shaboo, named for a randomly generated name I got in Stardew Valley for one of my cows, also took his look from the animal as well. I decided a white Jack Russell with black spots would be adorable...and I was right. ;-; He's so cute, it just isn't fair to anybody else. xDDD It's tempting to rehex him as a no-grow because his puppy form is probably the cutest thing of all! He was out playing earlier tonight, and I just happened to look up from what I was doing, and saw him trying to bury my squirrel!! There was a "NO, NOT MY SQUIRREL!!" moment and I had to redirect his attention...I'm possibly addicted to squirrels and there's no way he's putting my squirrel underground. LOL He's a goof though and I love him. xDD
---
More rule-breakers! (Seriously, all I had to do was take in AC Petz from other people and brex them...how did all these exceptions sneak in??)
I adopted Lovey from stancymckatt...she was bred for somebody else who didn't want her, and I was HOOKED the instant I saw her picture. I'm so in love with this pup, it's insane. Is anyone else seeing how painfully, unrealistically cute she is?? It can't be just me!! She looks like a snuggly little plush toy, and I want to hug her so bad!! In wanting to spend more time with her, I snuck her into this little group. xDD Since sometimes little kids' special plush toys are called 'lovies', I thought Lovey was the perfect name for her, as she looks like she could be some kid's favorite toy!
Pibble is from my first round of Pit Bull breeding. She comes from sexpotlida's overwrite file, and when she was born...honestly, she was one of the most plain looking out of her group, and the first one I'd seen with 'broken' markings that didn't quite fill in the way the others' did. I don't know why, but my first thought when I saw her was something like, "Oof...that would definitely be a reject to other people." And that's all it took for her to become a favorite. xDD I think I have too much sympathy for the ones I feel other people wouldn't want, and it makes me double up on love and attachment to certain Petz...I wound up giving this poor little would-be reject a lot of extra attention, and she's just got such a typical Pit Bull personality...she's an absolute lovebug, and she's as sweet as can be! She's got such a beautiful personality, and I do adore that golden coat...even her grey eyes look nice, as she looks like gold and silver! She's actually treasure, not trash! xD Anyway, like Lovey, I decided I wanted to spend more time with her, so I threw her into this group, and I've been loving spending time with her! She bonded with Mordana pretty quick too! No surprise! xDD
---
So these guys are kind of interesting! I was inspired by Cuzin's looks in the most bizarre way. xD One of our female cats in real life isn't fixed yet (the males in the house are though) and whenever she goes into heat, she likes following my Chihuahua, Peppy around the house so she can give him affectionate head-bumps...and it's actually pretty cute. xDD I kept thinking, obviously a cat can't have babies with a Chihuahua...but if only they could, because wow would they be cute!! And something like Cuzin popped into my head. Duchess (the cat I described) is long-haired, all white with a dusty tail, head/ears and darker dusty stripes on both areas. Those traits on a Chihuahua would be so cute!! So...that's what ended up happening. xD My only complaint is the head stripes are almost impossible to see, but I couldn't shape them right anyway so I guess it's fine. xDD I love the super fuzzy shape she wound up with! She is (obviously) SUPER energetic, but has been struggling to find a friend. She seems pretty irritable with anybody I've introduced her to so far. xDD
Natsuki is YET ANOTHER rule-breaker. He has no reason to be here. But he is. xDD Someone recently asked me if I had his breedfile, and I took a picture of him to ask if this was the file they wanted. In doing so...I realized, wow, this is actually a pretty old dog! I adopted him when I was much younger, and I know he's got a bunch of funky puppies floating around my P5 game. I adopted him so long ago...and probably at the time, only for the sake of breeding...I don't really remember raising him at all! But he's such a great dog, I decided it would be fun to restore him to his puppyhood, and give him another go! He may seem pretty simple, but I'm falling in love with this file all over again. I think he's beautiful! <3
---
More rule-breakers...I think I may have more of them than official Petz I got for this challenge. Maybe I should split the groups up...then again friendships have already formed...ehhh whatever. xD Like Natsuki, Scotti is a VERY old pet I adopted years ago. He's nothing special, just a regular AC pet...but apparently my only real Scottish Fold? I guess I was never too into the breed...but then again, I don't know them. So considering I think I adopted him originally to breed, and never gave him much of a fair shot...I decided he would be perfect to get to know with this little challenge. xD He's making me realize I may actually love this breed's personality...he's so silly and sweet, and I think he's becoming a pretty special boy to me!
Skizzy...I recently showed her off! She's a MPA from Meer, and she's so uniquely special and amazing, I just had to raise her naturally and get to know her better as well. I didn't expect her to get so teeny, ahh! <3 She's a very quirky girl indeed, not just in looks, but personality! I've got my hands full at the moment so I haven't had much chance with her yet (I'm planning to spend some one-on-one time with her next time though!) but I already know I'm absolutely nuts for her, so it can only get better from here. xDD
---
Now these boys, I was very unsure if I liked their turnouts. I felt Zisar might be too plain, and I felt like Eire was...too random? xD But for whatever reason, I already decided I wanted a soft looking grey Alley, and I kept getting this color scheme in mind for Eire...so I just went with it. I think they're finally beginning to grow on me!
I did make Eire a very small Persian when full-grown...the two images closest to his 'before' picture are him fully grown! xD I learned he DOES NOT LIKE dressup. He was the saddest sir I've ever seen. LOL He's also pretty fiesty for a Persian! The treats seemed to bring out the wild side in him, and he took a while to calm down again afterwards. xDD He's an adorable, pluffy nut and I love him already!
Zisar is one giant quirk of a cat. Like your typical Alley, he's angry and random all the time, but he often does other things that catch me off-guard. He loves doing that move where he pulls his head up and back, and slowly shakes his head, making disapproving noises...as you can see by his matching adult and kitten picture near the middle-right. xP He likes doing that move on loop on a regular basis, for no reason in particular. He also did this weird dance thing a few times one day between things he was doing...just kept stopping what he was doing to bob his head and tail up and down, before carrying on, and he just kept doing it. xDD He's a weird boy, LOL! But it makes him more fun! He's also having a difficult time making friends. Cuzin the Chihuahua didn't even give him a chance to say hi before deciding he must die. xDDD
---
And finally, the last two! I'm always going on about how much I love Calico Russians, so when I saw I got a Russian Blue from Audaxity, I couldn't resist trying to make a Calico Russian that fit my tastes. I wanted her to look more natural, less hexed, but it apparently didn't go that way. I don't really mind though, I think she looks pretty cool! The tail came out more pointed than I meant, but it looks more unique this way, so I like it! xD Moria is just so cute, but she's got quite a bit of personality behind that sweet expression. She's not too tolerant of other Petz, has a wild side just itching to be released, and you don't really know what she's going to do. She's interesting to play with as she's always a bit unexpected!
And Tortini...probably my favorite thing about Maine Coons is their beautiful texture. It was a shame to take it away, but there were so few options I could think of to make it work...so I decided to try using a -different- texture and just play with those until I got something I liked. You can clearly see the end result...an autumny Maine Coon with fun teal eyes!! <3 Maybe he's simple, but I really love how he turned out! I think I made him a bit bigger too. He's precious as a kitten though! For a mild-mannered Maine Coon, he sure doesn't like to sit still though! Maybe he'll mellow out as he gets older, but right now he's just a little fireball running all over the place. xD I'd say maybe this means he'll get along well with any of the other crazy Petz in this group...but, with my luck...probably not! xDDD
---
I really, really have to wrap this up. The sun came up an hour ago and...I still have to sleep. (Such a broken sleeping pattern, but I blame it on not feeling well lately.)
I just want to say thanks to everyone for these Petz, and for checking out the thread...even if I'm going to take a break from these levels of showoffs, I'll still post any images of interest here and there when they turn up. xD I'm always playing and enjoying Petz, and something's always going on in my game, keeping me busy.
Out of curiosity, which is your favorite of the ones I hexed? I think Fazilya, Tanase, Shaboo and Purrple might be some of my favorites! But I'm actually starting to enjoy even the ones I had doubts on (such as Eire) so it's hard to pick a favorite. xDD
So, I made a Wanted Ad a while ago when I was feeling creative. I've been bouncing around playing with so many different Petz from different profiles and eventually I overwhelmed myself, not even knowing who I wanted to play with anymore. So I decided to try something new.

LOL He's a goof though and I love him. xDD

No surprise! xDD

I've got my hands full at the moment so I haven't had much chance with her yet (I'm planning to spend some one-on-one time with her next time though!) but I already know I'm absolutely nuts for her, so it can only get better from here. xDD

Cuzin the Chihuahua didn't even give him a chance to say hi before deciding he must die. xDDD

Maybe he'll mellow out as he gets older, but right now he's just a little fireball running all over the place. xD I'd say maybe this means he'll get along well with any of the other crazy Petz in this group...but, with my luck...probably not! xDDD

But I'm actually starting to enjoy even the ones I had doubts on (such as Eire) so it's hard to pick a favorite. xDD
