Welcome to smonikkims' pet orphanage...
Hey guys, so one of the reasons I tend to dip in and out of the PC is because I take a look at my folders of Petz I have to adopt out and I nope right out of there. See I have this thing about not deleting anyone, and I used to breed without ever neutering, and I used to breed with both P4 and P5 non-OW breedfiles... anyway...
Thing is of course with all those Petz they've been in and out of their own adoption threads for years, then Fluxing came into the mix, so they've got a bit mixed up, even though I tried so hard to keep them all organised. I have a separate folder for P4 and P5, and I'm confident the vast majority fit into those categories, but there will always be oddballs who slip through the net. Not to mention there might be mixies with missing breedfiles or textures, or mutes, or all that fun stuff!
I'm 100% sure I'll dip again lickety-split if I try to sort this out by myself, and at the same time I don't want to leave the problem staring me in the face on my desktop while I try to stay calm inserting myself back into the community. So I'm asking for some help from some volunteers... Preferably some volunteers who wouldn't mind adopting a few of these very old, very scraggly, very tired Petz.
Instructions:
- I'd like to hand out a batch of Petz I think belong in P4 - however big you think you can manage - for you to look through.
- You're entirely free to keep anyone you come across that you like, even if you need to do some tinkering to fix them up to your liking, and you're absolutely free to keep the whole batch.
- If you find any Petz along the way that are corrupt and can't be salvaged, or need extra breedfiles or textures that you aren't familiar with and can't get a hold of, please delete.
- If you don't have access to P5 or PetFlux, but find that some Petz don't load in your game because they're P5 only, please place them in a separate P5 pile.
- If you do have access to PetFlux, please try converting to P4 and then check them over as normal. If they're super broken after doing so, please delete.
- If you don't have PetFlux but do have P5, please try loading them up there to check them over, and if all is well without any extra breedfiles or textures, stick them in the P5 pile, otherwise delete.
Once you're done, I'm hoping you'll have four piles: keeping (the ones you decided to have for yourself), P4 OK, P5 OK and No Good. If you would be so kind as to dispose of the No Good pile in a humane and gentle manner, and return the two separate OK piles to me, I would be so grateful! You're also free to come back and ask for another batch any time you want.
There is no deadline to this, and you can request as large or as small a bundle of Petz as you like. In fact if you take the pile off my hands and then disappear into thin air it'll still be a weight off my shoulders. I just want to deal with this pile once and for all at this point, but don't want to mass delete because it'd be a shame if some real gems went along with it. Someone's favourite crew member could be hanging out in there and begging to get out!
If you're interested in helping me out here, please take a form...
