When Shachou was born (Egyptian Mau/Honeybear/Alleycat), she did not try to catch mice. When I adopted Sil, a Siamese who is excellent at catching mice, things seem to have changed. Shachou started stalking them more often, and actually managed to catch one today! So my question is: Can petz learn from other petz? I assume that the ability to catch a mouse is tied to inherited traits, but the fact that Shachou had no interest in catching mice prior to the introduction of Sil makes me wonder. Timeline for reference of development: -Shachou: Born June 24 and aging naturally, no PetzA interference. Displays no interest in mice as a kitten. ( She also inherited the trickster gene so I'm wondering if this may also play into the ability to learn from other petz?) -Sil (Siamese w/affinity for catching mice): Adopted July 1st. -July 1st: Upon having the two in the same room, Shachou begins to stalk mice with Sil. Does not catch a mouse the entire day. Sil catches several. -July 2nd: Shachou catches a mouse for the first time after ~3hrs of Petz being open.

Wow. That's a interesting thought for sure. Maybe I should look deeper into my game. I feel like there is so much more to the petz games that we are missing.

I do vaguellyyyy remember something about young petz looking up to older petz in the PF Magic virtual life article? But I'm not sure if that was about Petz II or anything

This is interesting, and it wouldn't surprise me if this was no coincidence and younger petz can indeed learn from older petz petz are so smart, that's why I love this game xP
