2.) This one is really silly, but every time I get a notification on this forum or something I panic and think I did something wrong and it's a mod giving me a warning lol. And then it's always just someone liking a post or something. I'm starting to relate hard to Oshies and their constant anxiety, hah. I'm like that with Reddit when I see that red envelope showing that I have a reply to something I said. I always panic and try to remember what I last posted even though it was probably something pretty innocuous.

This is kind of weird, but with The Flea Market picking back up, this habit's made itself pretty clear to me. If I bid on an auction and someone outbids me, 99.9% of the time I won't bid again, figuring "well, they must want it more than me". This completely defeats the point of an auction, I know. But I personally am just not the type of person to get in a "bidding war". (Especially when I remember how big my crew is already and I think to myself, "Do I REALLY need this pet when someone else is willing to adopt it instead?")

ME TOO
I will admit, I have driven a couple prices up. If you want it that bad, you're paying for it >:3

lmao, with TFM it turns out when I want something, I am willing to bid really high. So if I'm not paying a lot for it, someone else will be, haha.
As for my other petz secrets...
1. I...don't really like tamsins or dali mixes all that much. I like them best when they're smooth coated even though a lot of people seem to prefer them fuzzy/floofy.
2. Although white markings seem to be prized (the more, the better) sometimes I actually prefer petz with minimal/no white markings (especially pets with darker colours or halfie markings). I have a really nice few spotted-halfie dane mix without a lot of white and I honestly think white markings would detract from how striking they look.
3. I may have a folder called 'Lumpy Dogz' for...well, all those potato dogz I just can't help myself from keeping.
4. I'm drawn towards showing the, ah, shall we say, less conventionally shaped petz.
5. I delete a lot of petz and feel no guilt for it whatsoever (don't worry, I'm careful with anything I've adopted from other people and would never delete if it's against the rules of the original owner). I breed a lot of petz to see if I can get the outcomes I want, so naturally there's a lot of rejects and I don't have the energy to try and get them all adopted.

I've deleted a lot of oops babies and unglies in the past... (before I was part of the RKC) Though I do feel bad sometimes. XD Now I either put them on TFM or in the adoption center here. :3

I was actually going to post this myself and you beat me to it! Of course I would never belittle Tamsins or those who deal in them a lot, they just never... clicked with me, I guess? I do have a few, and really like the halfie ones, but then again, I just really like halfies. But as far as preferences go, I can't say they make my top-favorites list. 4.) I'm kinda like this in that I have no clue what showing conventions really are beyond, you know, try to pose them nicely. Though I haven't been doing it much lately because busy (gonna try to get the momentum going again!), the main pet I show is just an AC pet, and the others I've considered when I'm done with her probably aren't that exceptional compared to a lot of the neat petz other people show, hah. I just kinda pick one I'm fond of! 5.) Same, though sometimes I do feel a bit guilty. But then I try to do more work on the crew pages on my WIP site and it's so time-consuming it reminds me to be careful about what I keep, hah. Not that it keeps me off basically every adoption thread....

I have so many mixes now... I should stop adopting but like... I'm just addicted. I'm always looking for more. Haha XD

Not really a secret again but, for my part, I don’t really see any reason to resist adopting more petz from other people. That’s a huge percentage of the fun of the game to me, adopting a new pet and breeding it to what I already have, showing the cutest ones to SGCh, posting some litters, and repeat. So ya, I never skip an adoption thread and I troll that Flea Market post! Why keep that number down 🤷🏻♀️😂

I have a thing with websites. I like building them, I like designing them, and I like digging through other peoples' code to see how they did theirs. I find it fun, but then again I'm a weird one so IDK lol

stancymckatt Exactly! I learned by seeing what did what and a lot of w3 tutorial pages back in the day lol. I never learned frames though; I went straight to iframes and sadly I /still/ use them because they're easy and I am far too lazy to learn CSS past a few basics.

Unless you need it for a job, it doesn't matter if you learn the advanced stuff. Petz sites are part of a hobby after all.

Oh I remember back when, especially when CSS started coming out and you had more access to HTML builders, having the newest coding and such was the *IT* thing to do. I never mastered the image map layout (where you have clickable areas on an image and that's the link to a given page) although I love how they look - I don't have the patience to code from scratch.
I literally hard code everything in notepad because I don't know how to use a WYSIWYG editor 🤣

I literally hard code everything in notepad because I don't know how to use a WYSIWYG editor 🤣 I ALSO do this! When I created my webspace some years ago for the purpose of keeping track of various projects and experimenting with PHP, I not only scripted it in notepad, but committed myself to doing it old-school with invisible tables and no DIVs. There's a lot of beige involved in the color scheme. Muahahaha. I also almost never use the WYSIWYG editors anywhere else, either. I 1000% get you, Alexzander. Gimmie dat code. I need to see what I'm doing.

I literally hard code everything in notepad because I don't know how to use a WYSIWYG editor 🤣 I had to Use Microsofts WYSIWYG for a vocational school class.... The code was nasty, but I had to leave it for my grade. The only WYSIWYG that I loved using was SquareSpace.com . It was good enough that If I get the budget to have web hosting again I will go there first. Saved me so much time. Blogger is a good second. I guess I could consider it a secret, that I don't like image maps on my own sites? They can be cute, but your stuck with whatever categories until you change the entire layout. I tinker to much for it to work for myself. I had one that someone else, and made for me (I paid her for it, as it was my for art portfolio.) I couldn't add categories, and I had to stop using it after a year or so. Which drove me crazy as I loved it. I offered to pay her for new buttons, but she didn't have the layers anymore. Never again. I'll stick to something I can code myself in notepad, or use the platform's native WYSIWYG.
