I for the life of me, cannot get my petz in Petz 5 to pose.Any recommendations or tips on getting petz to pose in this version? Or should I just use petzflux and try posing in Petz 4?

I'm a P5 user and I usually don't have too much trouble getting petz to pose, its just annoying to get them correctly aligned. Are they just not going into pose at all?

I haven't run 5 in forever but I do remember they liked to overpose more in 5 than 4. The majority of petz players run 4 and I find it pretty easy to pose them there.
The key is training I think. If they do the pose behaviour, regardless of whether they're in a good pose or not, start praising. Treats, pets, whatever quick reward. I usually do petting and get in there for the butt wiggles from dogz. Then I 'reset' them by picking them up and start snapping again. Once they get the idea that camera means to puff up like an idiot and pose, then I actually start doing attempts for actual show photos. Some dogz can take me an hour! I'm usually screaming inside at that point going "WHY WONT YOU POSE YOU !#@$ DOG" but I *usually* get my poses. If a dog is being a pain in the butt, some people do posing services or you can try that particular pet another day - sometimes they're just not in the mood XD

Hmmm I've only gotten one of my petz to pose correctly (still wasn't really aligned), maybe I just need to work at it more

When posing, I find it's easiest to just hold down the space bar and have the pictures auto-save. That way once they've finally posed, you can go through the pics and find when they're at perfect alignment.
The problem with that method in Petz 5 is that after you take even just one picture, they IMMEDIATELY stop and look surprised. You just can't use that method. You basically have just one shot to get the perfect alignment. I was able to do it with catz to some extent, but with dogz I found it pretty much impossible.
So for that reason, I'd suggest doing your posing in 4. That was actually one of the biggest draws of Petflux for me--I could finally show my dogz who had been stuck in 5 up until then!

^ I find it easy to get catz to pose in P5, but literally impossible and maddening to pose dogz and get a decent picture before they change position (that's why I rarely show dogz).
