So I'm having a little trouble with posing calicos, two in particular. Cat 1 A. B. C. D. Cat 2 A. B. C. D. Mostly looking for advice on leg alignment, but advice on the tail would be helpful as well.

Cat 1 D. Less pixels on front leg line but not showing too of the left foot, and the eyelids are pretty close for a calico which is hard so i'd place it higher than a similar pose with really different eyelids. Not sure if the tail could maybe curve a little more but I think it's good
Cat 2 D because the tail is exact, but think it's a little turned too much to the camera. It'd place well in most shows but the ones with all flawless I think if it was turned one-two pixels it'd do better

Leg alignment on calicos is tricky, and judges' preferences on it vary a lot, so I would suggest having a few different poses that you switch out depending on whose show you're entering!
The thing with the calico legs and feet is that they can never 100% perfectly overlap, and you will always see a little bit of the far front leg (when it catz, the ideal is that it looks like 1 leg, with the far leg neatly hidden behind the closer one). Some judges prefer to see a little bit of both the leg and the ankle but not too much of either, and some judges (myself included) prefer to see no leg, just a bit of the ankle. So more like 1C, 2A and 2D (2C is showing not just ankle, but a whole sliver of the leg too; it is turned too far away). The bit of ankle you see should be 2-3 pixels wide, with no leg showing on the other side (under the chest). This is the smallest the ankle can get without the leg starting to peep out on the other side.
I think this is the best way to align calico legs/feet because it's the same as alignment for any other cat breed/cat body parts. If you can see a little bit of the leg under the chest, the cat is turned too far towards the camera. The calico isn't the only breed where you can sometimes see a little bit of the other foot, but it's the only breed where it's this obvious in pics and a topic of discussion. With all the other breeds there is a total consensus on aligning the pet such that you can only see one leg and the feet aren't considered at all, and imo the calico is no different!
Pose 2D looks almost perfect to me, save for one major flaw: your cat was turning its head a little to the left while posing. Because of this, the face is misaligned and it makes the whole pose look funny. Another extra challenge calicos like to offer. ): The head looks fine in all your other pics, though!
Anyway, all that being said, it's totally up to you to decide which type of alignment you like better. There are plenty of judges who like either so you should be able to achieve succes in the show ring either way!

I'm with Arie in that I prefer 1C-- I think it gives a better tail curve when you let some of the ankle stick out the back (just like 2 pixels). But also as Arie said-- there are some judges that prefer all ranges of how it should be.... I've def had random placements with the same pose. In fact, I was discussing this on Discord and I found at least two different preferences for Calico tail and leg alignment :C I also love love love cat 2D but I didn't even notice the face! Arie has given me new things to look for O: Thank you
