Hello, i was wondering if there is some way to run these two games on windows 8. Whenever i try to run the installer it says that the version isn't compatible with my system, i tried running them in windows xp or some older windows version compability. Sorry if it is the wrong area to post this question, but i really wanted to play these games someday again, thanks in case

Unfortunately, I think the only way to play the older games is by using a virtual machine, and running an older version of windows through it. That was the only way I could them to open on my previous laptop, which is Windows7...This new laptop is Windows10, and it for sure will not open them. :c
I did some quick research on the topic of running any old game in general, and came across an interesting article... (are we allowed to post links to things non-petz related? - I'm sorry, I cannot remember if that is or ever was a rule...) Anyway, it basically said that older games tend not to run on newer systems, because the drivers/libraries required for them are no longer installed in the new system. It did give suggestions on what to set compatibility settings for, but alas, none of them worked for catz1 or oddballz. :c
So, the answer is no... these will not run on newer windows (probably not since XP), without the use of a virtual machine. Sorry. :c
