Yeah, lots of big creatures with green, and spells with blue! Love it!
I had never heard of a Commander. I haven’t played in quite a while.

Commander or EDH is a format where you have 100 cards and all of them have to be unique (except for the basic land cards). Since decks don't require can't have 4 copies of a single card, it means that you can have more fun with opening booster packs and buying a couple of expensive singles for your deck. Also, because decks don't run 4 copies, decks are less efficient at doing their job thus the slower game cards or bigger creatures are more relevant here.

So we had a friend over for board games and we played this game that I was not super impressed with and didn't really care to play so I was kind of doing quick turns and on my phone for some of it (because the two other boys I was playing with were kind of playing slow, looking at rules, etc). My boyfriend was like "you should pay attention to the game...." I ended up winning xD Don't need concentration for a whatever game ;) --------------- Now time for a good game we played recently, I had some friends over to play a game: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/102548/dungeon-fighterIts a dexterity game involving throwing dice at a target board. The game is meant to be a party game and its incredibly funny with fun artwork and the silliest enemies that can sometimes make you do wacky things (like throwing dice blindfolded) but you have to not mind losing ^^; Its incredibly hard to beat. I warned my friends that we only managed to beat the game once and we couldn't even believe we beat the game. My friends were skeptical and played anyway. After we lost twice in a row, they asked "so how the heck did you guys win??" To be fair, the table we played on was felt so the bouncing of the dice was really poor. Next time we need to play on a hard table for better aiming.

I love D&D <3 but we need at least 2 more people for D&D-- Mage Knight it was just my partner and I <3 I am not a huge fan of Monopoly-- I discovered boardgamegeek.com/ and learned the niche that is board gaming.

Played the Gallerist recently ! It was really fun-- but its a Vital Lacerda game so expect a lot of rules to learn, but your actions are simple, but still you think a lot during your turn. We played with 4 players, I won B) boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/125153/galleristNow I might need to switch to online board games tho.

^ My boyfriend would flat out refuse to even consider that game, lol! Wingspan is the farthest he will go (and Wingspan isn't even that complicated once you got it). I learned and played Chakra the other day. Really loved it! This is a pretty easy and short game (~30-40 minutes) that works great in Tabletop Simulator! Speaking of which, Tabletop Simulator is 50% off on Fanatical (Steam key) for the next 11 days! Nice way to play and interact with people during the pandemic! www.fanatical.com/en/game/tabletop-simulator

Ratqueen Maybe we can play a hard game together on Tabletop Sim then ;) This looks fun! I'd love to try it if you'd be willing to teach ^^ (or I can just read the rules online or something) Played Tanto Cuore for the first time (oh gosh this photo is terrible I'm sorry) boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/65282/tanto-cuoreQuick, fun and silly deck builder where you collect maids. The expansion we'll play next time is collecting butlers ;)

Ratqueen Maybe we can play a hard game together on Tabletop Sim then Maybe, but Wingspan is kind of my comfort zone as far as difficulty and length goes -- not too hard, not too long, and I like the original gameplay. I also like the easier ones my boyfriend favors -- since I've had Tabletop Simulator, I have found some gems I had never heard about before! (like Reef and Chakra, for instance, which are both relatively simple and short, but very different and enjoyable). Sure, I can teach you! Maybe just take a quick look at the rules (they're short) so you're vaguely familiar with it? With all those new game's I'm learning, I usually watch a how to video on YouTube, and then jump right in and use the rules only if I'm confused about something. Most TTS games have a copy of the rules we can consult right on the game table. Chakra is one of them. www.ultraboardgames.com/chakra/game-rules.php LOL!

I played Everdell for the first time tonight with my partner-- a lot of gaming is just going to be just us two for awhile so we're looking at games that play good at two players. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/199792/everdellThis one was super adorable-- a simple worker placement and engine builder. Its got a bunch of unnecessary but cute components like this tree you build. And the art of the game is really nice! I thought it was easy to understand and I had fun playing it-- I lost by about 20 points though but it was my first time and there was a lot of things I didn't know right away (my partner played it solo already so he knew the rules). And it plays relatively fast! Like 30 minutes I think for me. I'm excited about the next game we play on Saturday~ :3

^ This one looks very appealing to me! It has a really high rating on Board Game Geeks, too (but they list play time at 40-80 minutes! Wow, that's a wide range!)
I found a really nice mod of it for TTS (with a scripted setup!), so I'm going to learn it! Another one we could play together?

Yeah! It was fun-- I'd be down. I just need to pick a new date~ this weekend is a friend's virtual birthday party so maybe during the week.
I only played 2 player so it was probably fast. Also I try my best not to spend too long thinking because its back and forth. I imagine the more players, the longer turns take.

We literally have a store here in town that I believe sells all sorts of good things like these. I may have to see if they're open (or make an appointment) and go buy something new to try. That bird game sounds amazing *IF* I can keep the cats off the damn table long enough to set it up! Monopoly gets blown around thanks to them.
Now if I had my camper finished... *cough cough at self for being broke*

Oh! I thought you were sick! So I assume you tested negative for COVID-19?
