ApolloApollo was adopted by accident; I really didn't want to adopt a cat. But, he quickly stole my heart at the Adoption Center when I saw how excited he was to play with me. I'd never met a cat that would actually bring the toy back (aka fetching)! The moment he's out, he'll grab anything and bring it for me to throw. During posing sessions, I reward especially good poses with playing. This extremely playful kitty has quickly become my favorite pet. He is named after the Greek sun god because of the myth about Apollo accidentally killing his good friend while playing with a flying disk (hence the reference to Apollo's love of playing fetch). In his show name, 'soleil' means 'sun', another reference to the Greek deity. Breed: Honey Bear Gender: Male Adopted on: 6/2/2018 Adopted from: Adoption Center Show Card

AstridAstrid is both goofy and sassy, key features of the glorious Dachshund. When she was a puppy, she disliked more dogz/catz from my crew than she liked. She was named by a friend after the character, Astrid Hofferson, the female Viking girl from "How to Train Your Dragon" movies and her showname references this origin. If you know the movies, Astrid is a perfect name for this saucy lady. Although quick to anger, Astrid is loyal and loving. SpenserSpenser was named after the English poet, Edmund Spenser (1552-1599). His show name is a reference to one of Edmund Spenser's most famous works: The Faerie Queene. This makes Spenser seem regal, but he has dragged his butt across my carpets no less than 9 times. Although this may seem unattractive, he's quite the lady's man, managing to woo both hot-tempered Astrid and goofy Malory. And neither lady minds this little harem. Owners with other lady dogz be wary of a playdate with this casanova. He's incredibly friendly and kind towards every dog and cat he meets; I've never seen him get angry not once. This is probably part of his charm to the ladies. Breed: Chihuahua Gender: Male Adopted on: 6/8/2018 Adopted from: Adoption Center Show Card

Journal Entry - Struggles of a NewbieI started playing Petz about a couple months ago (early in June) and adopted a few OB from the AC. I naturally raised them to age 100 and brought them out on the show scene. I was really terrible at first. I had no idea what I was doing. I read a couple of guides, but it was a lot to take in. I was somewhat embarrassed to ask for help (because everyone seemed to just naturally know what was going on and I didn't want to bother people). But thanks to a few people who gave me posing advice: Koda, Shade, Kas, Buck, the lovely folks at Duke's Group, the Petz Discords; I kept trying. Thru trial and error, I got some BIS with my first pet, Apollo! (tho I'm still not 100% sure why those poses were better than other poses I have; I must not have an eye for this) Then I decided to show dogz, and chose my Dachie and Chihuahua. And then I read that those are really not for beginners... and I struggled to get good poses with them. But somehow I managed to win BIS with Spenser Chihuahua (by the grace of some gods). As these three are reaching (or have reached) the Supreme Grand Master title, I decided to naturally raise some Dalmatians and Danes since those might be easier to pose. Brutus reached 100 first so you might see him in the show ring (except I read Great Danes are hard to get right! *cries*) Ah well, we'll see what happens next!

JupiterI adopted Jupiter (hexed by midnightwolf ) via the RKC forums with the threat request that she be showed. This will be the first pet I'm highlighting not from the Adoption Center. She is incredibly playful and goofy. I am showing her facing two directions so you can see how much detail was put into this cat. Everything is gorgeous about this cat: the orange/pink/dusty planet textures; the green space gas matching her green eyes; her pink nose, ears, and paw pads, black fur with all the right white patches and tips. I love how only her bottom half is space mist and her top half is only black. I chose her because green is my favorite color. She is named after Jupiter because of the Jupiter-like planet on her fur, but also because she is green. The green instantly reminded of Sailor Jupiter, thus her show name references this. HTML
The moment I saw the first Smokey 's ERROR cat on the forums, I fell in love. I stalked decided to apply for one. This is one of my favorite hexes because of my connection to Computer Science and I’m incredibly grateful to have her <3 Images above are there to show off various features from different angles. There's so many little details relating to computer science in this hex and I love it so much: -- The colors are lovely: black with teal reminds me of a TRON version of a terminal (black screen, light text). -- The power symbol on the left hip; the battery symbol on the right hip. -- The claws remind of a cyber claw attack. -- The wireframe for the tail, one ear, and one leg: wireframes are used for making 3D models. -- There's text on this cat! And its easy to read. "ERROR 404" page not found (HTTP status code). -- The one eye reminds me of the Terminator (a red version of this hex would look spot on!). -- Those funky whiskers totally remind me of wire. HTML is a markup language used for creating web pages and web applications. Her show name is actually CSS, which is a language used to describe the presentation of a document written in a markup language. The CSS describes the color property of the "wireframe" id to be teal, one of the 5 colors of an ERROR cat. Breed: ERROR Cat (Hex, Calico) Gender: Female Adopted on: 7/9/2018 Adopted from: What The Nyaow? Show Card

Journal Entry - Learning to SwimPosing is really hard! Especially for dogz... I might not have the patience for this trade but my petz seem to surprise me by throwing good poses and alignments when I have no idea what I'm doing. I think I am starting to get an eye for spotting the "highest breathing point". However, I have no skills at telling which is best pose from among several photos. In other news, Jupiter has achieved Grand Champion <3 I’m quite proud of her <3 Apollo is now retired from forum posing. I am taking all his training and my limited knowledge of Honey Bear posing (Thank you Ratqueen!) and taking it to PKC. So far he’s done quite well, achieving a couple ribbons! *squee of excitement* He's also the father of several new kittens <3 I might need to pick another cat to show off. I enjoy showing off catz I’ve naturally raised (mostly because I can train them slowly to be good at posing!).

SrirachaI am in love with jill's Nova Scottie breed! I've got a small little collection that I hope to bring to the showing ring. I bought Sriracha off of PUGs because of his lovely red coat and dusty eyes! At first it was hard to decide which of the Scotties I should show first, but the decision was made super easy when none of them wanted to throw a good pose for me! It was exhausting...but I suppose they were bred to look pretty, not because their ancestors were good showers. Sriracha was the first to throw some good poses, and thus he became a show dog. TwixTwix was adopted during an event where a surprise person breeds a pet related to Autumn, the current season at the time, for another to naturally raise it (at least, that's what I chose to do). He is quite the hyper-active kitty. His favorite toy is the water bowl. He loves to play fetch with any toy he can and often switches toys during play. But he still listens quite well to my call and posing. His candy-themed name was given by Buck, I assume because of the prominent autumn holiday, and his show name pays homage to this popular candy brand (by stealing its slogan). Breed: Mixed breed Gender: Male Born: 9/27/2018 Adopted from: Buck Show Card

TuckerTucker was adopted during the Duke's Group Autumn Event. Ryder was a last minute addition to our event, and I decided to be a natural raiser for both Ryder and Buck. Meaning I had five petz to naturally raise, which is really hard! But I don't regret it as Tucker is an absolute cutie. His showname references the autumn event. DanicaDanica was adopted here at RKC from paranoiapaige . Her original name at adoption was Danvers, which I kept in the showname. I am in love with mini catz, so when I saw this adorable kitten, I was so lucky and grateful to have caught her! Her colors are absolutely stunning and I have her chubby body with the white chest fluff! <3 Probably the reason I started showing Danica is thanks to Ratqueen: when I adopted this cat, RQ mentioned about wanting to see more of this adorable baby <3 I'm grateful for that motivation ^^ Breed: Mixed breed Gender: Female Born: Adopted from: paranoiapaige Show Card

PaprikaI adopted Paprika during the Duke's Group Autumn event. During the event, Buck bred me 3 surprise petz (two dogz and one cat). Here are Paprika's parents (owned by Buck): Probably named after the current season, Paprika is the sweetest dog. She's calm, but not shy. She's brave, but not angry. For a sweet dog, she has a tough almost pitbull-like look to her (smooth fur, sharp ears, bob tail). This tough look and kind personality influenced her show name "sweet heat". She's good friends with Twix, another show cat also bred by Buck. Breed: Mixed breed (Tamsin) Gender: Female Born: Adopted from: Buck Show Card

DarenI love how Shade takes unwanted catz and brexes them to look unique or beautiful (see their website Nightshade Rescue for more info). Shade had a few brexed catz in their PUGs shop, but Daren caught my eye. I love their golden eyes and gray/white fur. What a simple, yet elegant cat! In the photo above is what the cat originally looked like. His show name makes reference to the fact he is brexed to "look better". What encouraged me to show him is reading a comment left by a user in the PUGs Update thread how they missed out on this beauty: I should show this beauty off! Now showing at PKC! MokaMoka was the second surprise I received from Ryder during the Duke's Group Autumn Event. She is an Iola Smooth Collie mix and before adopting her I had no idea I love this breed! Her colors are incredibly lovely. Moka is a true sports dog: great at lure coursing and frisbee. Her show name refers to a "Moka Pot", a device used to make coffee. Now Showing at PKC! Breed: Mixed breed (Iola Smooth Collie mix) Gender: Female Born: 10/4/2018 Adopted from: Ryder ☆ Adopted on: 10/4/2018 Show Card
