I just realized that I'm totally flunking the"Photo-a-day in May Challenge because I am not posting a picture every single day, BUT I am continuing my challenge with Flax and just playing at the pace I choose xP



The other day I played dress-up with Flax and Whinnie <3 They tried on a few outfits, but in the end we all agreed that their favourite was wearing stylish butterfly costumes They seemed to compliment each-other with soft-spoken woofs of sweet talk <3 I'm really happy they have feelings for each-other.



They love to frolic and bounce around with joy to celebrate each-other's presence

Flax will also be competing with Whinnie and his other family members in the Summer Olympics this year! I'm quite excited because athletic endeavours are in his blood, and he's already shown to be a champ at Frisbee catching

Flax enjoys getting showers from the watering can He also gets along great with his mum, Sylvia. They played tug-of-war.

I'm also including a preview of my Duke's Group Summer Olympics team for this year! As soon as Thor tells me what team I'm on I will create a gameplay challenge thread over on Duke's Group where I'll share all of my athletic endeavours with my dogz <3

Sunny and Flax have successfully started their family <3 I'm naming this little lass "Sesame". Her full name is Sesame seed, since her family will be seed themed. As a result, Sunny's full name has been upgraded to "Sunflower Seed"



Based on Sesame's size at birth, she appears to be a mini like her father, and two of her great grandparents

Her parents weren't sure what to do with her xD Sunny has yet to let her nurse, so I've been bottle feeding her. Sunny did groom her though <3



These two have been jumping around all playfully and frivolously xDD Flax even wanted to steal the milk bottle XD Maybe the reality of parenthood hasn't set in yet, or they're just excelling at their desirable athletic temperaments.

I have loved reading your naturally raising thread for a very long time!  It is one of the things that first got me interested in naturally raising petz after my very long hiatus from petz.  I love your minis!!  Cuz I love mini petz so much and have a few myself.  All minis are so adorable!

But I've always wanted to ask you, where did you get that meat on the bone food toy that you gave to quail that she loved so much?  I'd love to have it because it would be perfect for my wild hybrid and wolf hybrid petz to eat!  I can't imagine petz like that eating a bowl of kibble.  XD  If you could tell me where to get it I would be most grateful!

Hello, Meer. I appreciate your kind comment and am happy to know I inspired you I am not sure where I downloaded the meat, but I'd be glad to email you the file It's for P4. By the way, I do a lot with my dogz on Duke's Group, so you could check out my Summer Olympics update thread here if you'd like It's where I post about all the athletic achievements my dogz have made.









Sesame is now old enough to be independent from her mother She's a sweet little trotter just like her mum, and I can see some coat colour/pattern influence from her grandparents Conifer and Whinnie. She jumped after the Frisbee many times, but has yet to catch it! I'm sure she will once she's better coordinated xP She also seems to have two colours to her eyes! Olive green and a light blue, can you see it?













She did manage to jump through the hoop <3 She's on her way to becoming a fine sports dog someday




Chia and Glaze are hitting it off real well! Glaze is a dog I adopted from PearFlowerKennels back in 2018. I decided to introduce Chia to many other dogz I had to let her choose a mate, and she chose this lovely fellow He has a decent interest in soccer and disk catching. If you'd like to get to know Glaze better, you can see this spontaneous video I made when I introduced him to a few different Petz sports toyz

Chia has had Glaze's puppy! I've named her Cruller because their family will be donut themed She's such a wiggly, lively baby <3



Chia is a very nurturing and protective mother, and she reminds me of how her grandma, Quail, was <3 Glaze, on the other paw, is pretty goofy and just wants to play He's behaves a little differently than the other dogz, in a good way





I've tried letting Sesame be around the baby, but Chia feels too funny about it with her being so young and vulnerable. In the coming weeks we're expecting more puppies from Chia and Sunny It'll be Team Sunshine The Next Generation! They'll all grow up together and be evaluated for their athletic potential

Glaze is fitting in well with the other dogz! He's a bit of a goofball, but has serious athlete potential He's growing on me.





Cruller is now ready to be an independent pup! She's very active, and recently caught her first frisbee <3 I have a great feeling about her



Cruller and her cousin Sesame get along great and have became playmates





Sesame has a new baby sister! I just had to name her pumpkin, because doesn't she look like a little pumpkin? And there are pumpkin seeds, so it goes with the family theme xP





Pumpkin seems to be mini and stubby legged, so she'll be quite the character <3 Sesame's getting jealous, so it'll add some heat to the Junior Athlete Pup Cup Tournament I'm doing later this month xD What is it, you ask? Well, I had this insane idea where each of my next generation SumOly athletic puppies compete against one another in soccer, flyball, and frisbee! Each will receive adequate training and be at a certain maturity level before they are judged against one another in every sport In doing so we'll discover each pup's talent, or if they aren't athlete material. It'll be a lot of fun! I'm hoping to record the finals xP

We have two new puppies! Chia and Glaze has had another baby girl So Cruller is now a big sister <3 Sprinkles is a cute little pup, and so tiny She'll probably be on the smaller side









Sunny and Flax has had their last puppy! (Bye bye reproductive abilities xD) This time it's a boy! I'm calling him Quinoa, because it goes with their seed themed family and I really wanted to name one Quinoa <3 So far we have five puppies in our junior athlete pack, and he's our only male puppy to be born this season. How exciting And would you look at how big Quinoa is?! He's a newborn in the pictures, and yet, he's as big as his older sister Sesame who's 50 on the brainslider in the picture! I guess he won't be a mini like his parents and siblings xP

I've been having a lot of fun raising my bunch of puppies lately



A few pictures that I meant to post a few weeks ago...





I love all of them, but Cruller is one of my favourites of the bunch. So far I've found her to be:

Sweet, catnip head (it means exactly what you think, lol), enjoys grooming other puppies, gentle, amiable, likes playing toss with Quinoa.







This little lad is the youngest of the bunch and he's so lovable.

What I've discovered about him: Outgoing, likes hot cocoa, likes playing toss with Cruller, doesn't like Sesame, best friends with Cruller.







Quinoa also passed his puppy obedience test over on The Working Dog ! I'm proud of him <3

Thank you :-) I really wanted to name a dog Quinoa xP



I've been working on doing sports activities with these guys for a while now <3 All five pups have completed their flyball trials and frisbee catching count, and now they've finally reached the Autumn Pupcup finals! The finals being three soccer matches to see who is the soccer master xP I'm working on it and I'll share pictures and results soon.



Since each dog is fully grown, I've added them to our official pedigree graphic. Here is the updated family tree! If it's too big for the forum please tell me and I'll link it instead xD The new additions are at the bottom of the tree.









Pumpkin made a decent 6/10 in Frisbee catching (she caught 6 and missed 4) and has a 3m and 10s flyball score. I really like her short legs, pumpkin orange coat, and zesty energetic spirit







Quinoa really sticks out in the family because he's the biggest dog and the only boy born this Autumn. The way he lolls his tongue really captures the fun goofy spirit of his great grandma Quail, and I love how tough yet adorable he looks <3 His frisbee score is 5/5 and his Flyball score is 1m 44s

Alright, here's how our first soccer match went

~Soccer Tournament rules~

Three rounds

Two minutes each

Round 1:

Commentary:

The young athletic canines were distracted among socializing for a hot second, but then Cruller
made a swift attempt at snatching the ball before her sister Sprinkles who was on her tail. She
galloped to the goal!






While Sprinkles and Quinoa were busy making googly eyes at each other, Pumpkin and her sister
Sesame were in hot pursuit of the ball. Pumpkin managed to get the ball and rush over to make a goal!






Cruller and Pumpkin may have each made one goal, but it was Sesame who stole the show landing two
goals! And the rest of the pack welcomed her to the goal in good spirit

Results:

Sesame: 2

Cruller: 1

Pumpkin: 1

Round 2:



Quinoa and Sesame were pretty competitive over the ball this time.

While they were both trying to get the ball, Cruller distracted Sesame by pouncing on her showing favouritism for her bud, Quinoa.

Although, Quinoa wasn't happy about this unfair advantage and felt it'd be too easy to make a goal, so he let the ball go.







Sprinkles ended up doing a backflip to capture the ball <3







Sesame and Pumpkin were both circling the ball, but Quinoa was determined to not let Sesame steal the ball! While the two were scuffling, Sesame's sister, Pumpkin, stole the ball and made a goal.



Cruller also managed to make a goal



Oh and Sprinkles and Sesame had a jolly time playing during the match.

This morning I filmed the final soccer round!



Quinoa made a spectacular flip to catch the ball and made a goal





Quinoa's girlfriend Sprinkles managed to score as well, despite stopping to admire her tall and handsome guy <3





Cruller and Pumpkin each made a goal this time as well



Little Sesame was determined to pick up the ball a couple times, but for whatever reason she couldn't seem to grasp it D:

The first round it really seemed as though Sesame was going to be the soccer star landing two goals, but she didn't follow-up with any more goals in the following matches. It seems as though Cruller and Pumpkin are equally matched having both made 3 goals across our competitions I'm glad to have seen all the dogz play well and make victories.



It's been pretty fun discovering my five's sports talents, observing their social dynamics, and giving them love and attention they deserve :-) Now I'll have a better idea who should make my Summer Olympics team for next year.
