Please excuse me if this can be found elsewhere. I'm completely new to showing, so I have a couple of questions... Is it standard to use the same picture of your pet in every show until championship? Do people usually enter every show they qualify for, or one per judge, or what? I'd just like to know some 'etiquette' tips so I don't look silly

I've been going through tons of show threads where people asked questions like this just so I was prepared as well lol. People generally seemed to say that yes, you can reuse the same pic as much as you want. On PKC however (if you plan to show there), you have to change pics every show. Personally, I may retake most of my pics just because I know they could be better. But it's not a requirement that I know of. Do people usually enter every show they qualify for, or one per judge, or what? I'd just like to know some 'etiquette' tips so I don't look silly Do you mean like, if I had an express, EBW, and standard dog shows open could you enter all 3? It looks like people do this (personally I say you might as well since the show community is small and it helps ). But I'll leave this to someone else to answer haha.

Thanks for the response! It seems like most people reuse the pictures, and I might if I get a perfect pic, but I agree that trying to get better ones is a good idea! (especially for my cat at the moment lol)
About the 2nd question, I was just wondering because if the same five people enter two shows by the same judge, won't the placements be the same? Unless it's super close I guess, haha.

You can re-use the pose! Like Rebecca said, it's just the PKC where you're required to use a new one each time.
"if the same five people enter two shows by the same judge, won't the placements be the same?"... Most likely. Though I've had some shows where if they're the exact same entries but the first show had some tied placements where it was really just a flip of a coin to determine which placed higher, I'll place the other higher in the second show. But that rarely happens since most people have a crew of showing pets so they can alternate and switch it up a little.
