With most of my show catz on the verge of earning their SGCh titles, it's time to bring a bunch of new kitties to the show ring! And let's not forget two of my silly-looking kitties who earned their SGCh titles very recently!

With shows in full swing lately, twelve of my show catz have earned their SGCh title since my last Showroom update only a week ago! So I feel the urge to, once again, replenish my show team a little bit. First, I want to introduce a teeny little cutelet named Cam, which I received as a surprise gift from smonikkims . She said he reminded her of a goldfish. I agree, all he needs is a fish bowl! And so his show name is Petal Down / RKC's Little Goldfish Surprise! Despite his soft-spoken Chinchilla personality, he impressed me with his immediate willingness to pose for the camera, and very nicely too, if I may say so myself. Thank you Smonikkims! He's a little gem and I love him! Cam Then we have six new kitties I bred myself, some a long time ago, and some very recently: And the twelve catz who earned their SGCh. title in the last week are: Tangle, Casualty, Goggles, Thunderstruck, Macademia, Céleste, Grayzie, Blimp (at 100% fatness the whole time! Yay for him!), Avenue, Headstart, Snowpatch, and Karom!

You gotta put some litters up from these guys. haha I like seeing your catz in shows and it's made me want some old school P5 mixies but I can't get any cool mixies like the ones you get. Disproportionate petz will become the new proportionate petz.

You gotta put some litters up from these guys. haha I like seeing your catz in shows and it's made me want some old school P5 mixies but I can't get any cool mixies like the ones you get. Disproportionate petz will become the new proportionate petz. Glad you like them! I don't offer a lot of adoptions because the P5 breedz don't seem very popular for some reason (even in P4, which I don't have anyway). I love the variety and surprises they bring in! I couldn't imagine breeding without them. If you want, pick 2 of my show or retired catz and I'll breed you a litter or two (or I'll breed the parents of one of my show catz for siblings), then you can use whichever you choose as show catz or breeders for further generations (or I can just send you the whole litters blind). Almost all of my show catz are choke full of P5 breedz. Feel free to ask what breedz are in them, or their personalities if that matters to you, before picking the parents I would love to see more P5 mixies in the show ring! I've been breeding a lot lately, so I have a lot of "rejects" on my hard disk... If there is any interest, I'll open an adoption thread for them in the near future.

Haha I think I've become bored with the hexing aspect of the game (which I went to when I was bored of the real game) and seeing your petz reminded me how the game started out. Blimp, Bambino, and Yam Yam are the best haha. If you wanted to send some rejects over, that'd be cool. They'll be for showing mainly if they cooperate.

I second the want for some rejects. XD An adoption thread would be amazing!

A Quick Note About Fattie & ShortieWhen this pair was born in a litter of four (their other two siblings looked nothing alike), out of two beloved SGCh parents (Yam Yam and Blimp), I didn't immediately notice how truly identical they were. It's not until I started posing them to see who was best, and who would be the lucky one stepping into the spotlight, that I realized they were genuine identical twins in every possible way, down to their posing abilities! (I swear these are different catz and not the same pictures!) And SIAMESE twins on top of that! (with a sweet Chinchilla personality). So I simply cannot help myself wanting to try something rather unconventional: show them together as a single entity, like the inseparable Siamese twin sisters they are... but I'll completely understand if judges ask me to switch my entry for another cat. Their shared show name is, of course, RKC's Inseparable Siamese Twins. Oh, and Gâchette means "trigger" in French (my first language), thus her show name for the gaming connoisseurs

I LOVE your Siamese twins! What a neat idea for a show team <3 I have no idea if my eyes are playing tricks on me but I think you can juuust about tell they are different pictures by the tail! I'm very much happy for them to enter together in my shows!
I had no idea French was your first language! How neat is that <3

Family ties... This new bunch includes a son of Hottie (Ego, who else?), Yam Yam and Blimp's daughter (Orchestra) and 3 grandchildren (tiny Bonita, medium Raincoat, and giant Honeypot), and a fuzzy sibling of my two little alleys from the previous addition, Honeycomb, who apparently forgot to iron up his tail and comb his hair for the occasion -- a hot mess, but a sweet one. Also, seems like we may be getting some tiny and/or giant kittens soon, because I saw little Cam looking at Bonita with googly eyes backstage... shhht...Since my last update, 6 kitties earned their SGCh title! Congratulations to Yam Yam, Zany, Cappuccino, Soviet, Furtastic, and Anka!

I hate posing dogz. They're too hard and drive me insane. I can pose 10 catz during the time it takes me to pose a single dog. But a recent thread in the Posing Help & Advice board, talking about the patience and practice that is needed to pose petz, actually inspired me to try again and harder with dogz. I'll have to admit that the two gorgeous, selectively-bred Airedale Terriers I just adopted from jill@blep , as well as the irresistible chi-eared little Fidget I got from azalea2412 , had a big part in the extra effort I decided to put in So thank you both for these beauties! Titus comes from my own kennel (his mother Crumpet is one of my favorite show dog ever, a descendant of my first Petz 1 dog). Except for the pom-pom tail, he looks just like my real life childhood dog, whose name was Titus. This little guy has a Papillon personality and was the most infuriating to pose! Botox also comes from my kennel, offspring of my show dog Gravitar. I do love me some plumpies!
Still working on some of those dogz poses... but I have to let at least SOME of the hair on my head grow back first.
Next update: 8 new catz waiting backstage, scratching at the door impatiently!! I'm holding them until some of my current show catz earn their title... at least that's the plan.

As most catz in my current show lineup are getting close to SGCh-ness, 8 new kitties and 2 dogz are joining the team today!
Acacia RKC's One With Nature
|
Hazmat RKC's Handle With Care
|
Propaganda RKC's Spreading Rumors at the Groomer's
|
Genova RKC's Mi Scusi
|
Darksome RKC's No Way Out This Dark Alley
|
Mimosa RKC's RKC's Part of the Scenery
| Maushie RKC's My Mau Maw May Meow-Meow
|
Raisin Petal Down / RKC's Miniature Golden Treasure
|
Tiny Raisin was a surprise gift from smonikkims -- a look-alike offspring of her show cat Grapes (that's why I called him Raisin), whom I am in love with. Genova is an Oriental Longhair mixie. In a stroke of luck, she inherited of several physical features I was very much after from her father, my prized SGCh cat Bambino: notably the fold ears and Bobtail stub tail, as well as the Oriental Longhair face. Her name is Genova because I wanted something that sounded Italian, like her daddy, but also in honor of her maternal grandmother Nova, one of midnightwolf 's SGCH cat, another Oriental Longhair mixie with lines tracing back to my cattery. Hazmat and Propaganda are siblings. Their mother is a gorgeous flealess and healthy alley that I recently adopted from jill@blep , and their father is my soon-to-be-retired, large tabby mixie named Honeypot. They both have a Honey Bear personality, like daddy. Hazmat insisted on those crazy contact lenses to better fit with his name -- I'm not one to judge unless I run a show, so... Darksome's particular darkness comes from the texture of my Spotted Wildcat breed on black fur. He's very much what I wished for when I picked his mother and father, down to those lovely ear tufts. Both parents have that curved Oshie body that I love. His father is a healthy Alley/Oshie mixie I recently adopted from @halcyon . The other 3 kitties joining the team -- Acacia, Mimosa, and Maushie -- were bred by me a while back, and are all descendants of some of my other SGCh catz. Sonic blep / RKC's Don't Poke a Hedgehog
I found Sonic in jill@blep 's non-freebie MPA adoptions. He caught my eye immediately, but I didn't apply for him right away because I thought "I don't like posing dogz". As weeks went by, I kept thinking about him and looking to see if he was still there, unadopted, and I eventually realized I would be sorely disappointed if he were gone. I just HAD to have him, and I'm very lucky he wasn't adopted by someone else! Sonic was extremely hyper and difficult to pose, but we made it! ShowtimeRKC's World Premiere And last, Showtime is a Cirrutopia Border Collie mixie. He's the offspring of two beautiful Border Collies I adopted from @halcyon a few days ago. I love his coloring. Do you have a favorite? Also, 7 of my kitties have earned their SGCh titles recently: Chantilly, Hinterlands, Slopes, Cam, Shapeless, Footloose, and Beanie.

This is just a minuscule Showroom update compared to my usual kitty avalanche (which is in the works, BTW), but I had to introduce these three now. Sultanblep / RKC's High King Sultan is the third Airedale Terrier I will be showing. These big beautiful dogz were selectively bred by jill@blep , and I simply adore them! I think they make for very dignified show dogz.
CrypticStarfall / RKC's Night Prowler I won Cryptic in a Halloween Hexie Raffle here on RKC! He is a Vampire Bat Lab hexed by StarFragments . I still cannot believe I won one of the main prizes, as I usually never win anything anywhere. So, needless to say, I'm thrilled to add him to my show team!
BoggleMW / RKC's Nothing But a Hound Cat I also need to introduce this cute little cat who wiggled his way into my team a while back, between Showroom Updates. His name is Boggle, and he's a Beaglecat hexed by midnightwolf . Such an original kitty! I was lucky to find him still available when I stumbled upon that thread he was hiding in, and I'm very happy to have him!
The following 24 petz earned their SGCh. titles since my last update in April, which brings me to a total of 500 SGCh. petz over the years!!!
Fattie & Shortie, Chagall, Bonanza, Botox, Honeycomb, Fidget, Sonic, Showtime, Titus, Sunshade, Monarch, Raincoat, Ego, Chalupa, Gâchette, Royalty, Snazzy, Tassels, Honeypot, Aspect, Nuttie, Amalgam, Pigpen, and Fuego (who is my 500th SGCh!)
